freedom

Ragarding the earlier post about a goverment not making any money off the sale of marijauna that is very untrue it is personal prejudices in communities and local officials in making the decisions caused by a report submitted in the early 1940's or 50's by a senator who didn't like. His reason being was that it was being introduced into America by the cheap mexican labour coming into the USA. A lot of the reasons he put fourth for the illegization were spurious. It is not physically addictive. It is as much of a gateway drug as alcohol & perscription medication. It does not cause aggressive, violent or manic behaviour.

Keeping it illegal just makes it none taxable and a
most money made from it usually go to the criminal element of society. They then use this income to fund the import and distribution of more dangerous and addictive narcotics as well as illegal weapon

Here is a Meme I received near the end of last year from a friend regarding statistics of 1 year since the legalization of the use, sale, growth & distribution of Marijauna in the state of Colorado, USA.

The reduction of theft & violent crimes is hugely signicant, the saving of enforcement costs can now be used to deal with the more significant drugs on streets like cocaine, heroin & meth.

The jobs & businesses created directly by the industry (like farming and Weed distributors) and indirectly (like weed bars smoking device sales) are all now taxable. Thus the national income of the whole of the whole country would increase.

If you think this means that people would just go wild and not care any more you would be wrong. Here is a link to a webite I found soon after my friend sent me the Meme giving details the legalisation of the use of Marijauna is treated. It is only slightly more than your average smoking laws, but I feel it is still very fair.

As well as one my friend sent me regarding the tax revenue breakdown.

And if you think that I am trying to advocate something I use your wrong. I don't touch it as it affects me badly.

I just feel that anyone out their who is of legal age should have the right to choose an alternative to alcahol which has lead to many more cases of rape, vileonce and death or if needed a effective pain medication which is less dangerous and addictive with much fewer side effects than what is available at your local chemist.
