I said that elsewhere. I sure hope people protect and they see how much "fun" it is. I wonder where this "guy" is headed. We know neither Heaven NOR Hell wants him so wonder where he will go. I also doubt they will announce when the funeral is and try and have a quiet one so people can't give them a taste of their own medicine

The duality of Fred Phelps is one of the things that keeps me scratching my head. His law practice was focused on social justice and he ran for office, unsuccessfully, as a democrat. Then he founded his cult and began the whole "God hates fags" movement. When that school principal in Omaha was ******** a few years back, some of my friends in the area organized counter protests against the Westboro picketers who showed up. From what I learned, as soon as the Westboro people learned they wouldn't get access to, or be able to influence the attendees, they kind of slinked off without much fanfare.
From some of the things I've read recently, Phelps was excommunicated in the summer of 2013 because his views were changing.
I believe he earned himself a special place in the pit, but thankfully, I don't get to make that decision.

I always hesitate to celebrate the death of anyone since, irrespective of how despicable they may have been in life, they leave behind loved ones and friends who are hurt and saddened by their loss. I mean no harm to those who may have loved him, but I am shedding no tears over his demise. I don't believe in hell but, as far as Phelps is concerned, if there's not a hell, there sure ought to be....just for people like him. Fuck you, Fred. The world is a better place now that you are dead.
With one known exception who hated him, and claims Fred Phelps ****** him, the majority of the mans ****** are just as vile and are members of the WBC (in fact, that particular "church" is primarily comprised of Phelps' ******).
What was that line about "I wish no man dead, but I sure have enjoyed reading a few obituaries over the years." Seems to fit well here. Too bad there can't be a ceremonial giant toilet in D.C., and when a douche like Phelps dies, there is a celebratory flushing of another piece of **** from the populace.

Or in his case the anals of history. I always figured his wife slipped a finger up ass his one night, and he enjoyed it, thus beginning his irrational fear/hatred of homosexuals. That or he was actually a gay man so deep in the closet he projected his own self loathing onto others.
