Fox Media Bias Thread

Bias in what sense...

Fourty percent of the advertising dollars they get are from DNC funded networks most of which is from CBS. Twenty percent of thier remaining revenue comes from companies and businesses that are DNC supporters. The first rule of broadcasting is you dont bite the hand that feeds you and right now the Meat they get is coming from the hands of the DNC who are anything but conservative.
Through his investments Al Gore is actually a major contributor to Fox New's adversiting revenue.

Now to get to the nitty gritty, they have these things called time constraints. I think the news that Al Gore is trying to fool people into thinking that he is putting all the profits into a charity is a little bit more important than his Other BS.
He lives in a 10,000 sq foot house with his wife that is powered by a COAL burning power plant. He has 2 other houses and flys all over the country 20+ weeks out of the year (first class) and stays in huge hotel suites. Na hes not in it for the money could not possibly be hes totaly into actually protecting the enviroment while hes expunging all those jet fuel fumes and nox from his houses coal burning power plant.

Now what the youtube clip did not tell you is that what they (mediamatters) were showing they cropped not FOX, Fox actually aired the entire hearing with Al Gore I watched it and laughed my ass off while Al lied through his greedy teeth the entire time, I just wish he was in office so he could be impeached for his lying under oath like his former boss was.

It's a clip so of course media matters is not going to plug in an entire hearing. Fox aired the hearing but Hannity cropped the out of context part he wanted to spin just the other examples in the clip.

No Hannity didn't crop out the context because Obama was lying in the part that he omitted.
The 1000 page porkulous bill contained more pork than anything, Obama asked for that bill to be pushed through so he could sign it.
the trillion dollar bill that went through the following week also PORK.
Obama even implying that he is against pork is just ridiculous. I do admit it would have been of some benifit to hear him tell the lie but since most of us know that when his lips are moving he is lying there is no need.

Oh dear gawd, this topic will not begin, endure or end well at all. Everyone slowly step away from it and resume your lives.. we dont need 3 pages of flaming and a maleonetwo closing (ear)mark on it to see how badly this can go. :p

a network that gives a show to o'reilly, beck, hannity and huckabee must be fair and balanced

As opposed to CNN, CBS, NBC, ABC, MSNBC bias or what?

For the sake of argument, let's say yes, FOX is biased against the Big O, that's one network against 5 I just listed that are biased in his favor and liberals still whine. They just can't stand competition.

I think it's funny the way some people are so pissed that FOX even exists.

It's almost like they're saying...

"Conservatives can't have one single channel!

THEH MUST ALL BE SLANTED TO TEH LEFT!!!"

fox lies there's a shock lol

I mean you have them coming out saying Obama is taking the us to socialism and all this and talking like they need a revolution sorry but the way they are acting at some point someone is going to take a shot at the president and I blame fox 100% for it

I mean you have hannity O'Reilly and the vile glen beck going on about how bad obama is and there reason when they are asked why is well you did the same with bush

only problem is they forget that the whole world was behind bush after 9/11 and he shitted on that with iraq Katrina and other crap obama has done nothing to be hated yet maybe he will be not yet

just look at it obama gets elected fox get rid of the only guy that was a dem on there air Alan colmes and gives hannity his own hour to spout his hate says it all really

also there was a report fox was going on and on about saying how the other news networks were all for obama well I checked the poll the part fox missed it them

it showed that cnn msnbc and others were 60 favorable to obama in there coverage but here's the kicker

fox only had 16% favorable coverage of him

they only reported the other channels

MSNBC is the only network with hosts who promote a bias, Fox's whole station promotes a bias and it's not just against Obama, they are strictly into party politics and GOPer propaganda primarily then they do news every once in a while.

Fox is so far right that it hurts to watch.
MSNBC is so far left it hurts to watch.

If you know certain news channels are slanted to the right/left then why watch it?

Get your news from a channel that doesn't have an agenda.....They do exist.
It is up to you to decide which they are....

I believe people who gravitate to those stations actually want biased coverage.

Fox viewers stoked by the talk show host echo chamber clamored for coverage that would give them the buzz words they wanted to hear and Fox filled the vacuum. Fox's unadulterated slant and misleading reporting created a vacuum which hosts at MSNBC filled to cover Fox's reporting and GOPer spin in general.

The other stations are not in the same league as Fox in terms of Bias. At best Fox covers stories that support their ideological slant then fill time slots with hosts who spin the stories. At worst they create news by generating questions on knowingly false premises to cause a story.

For example, asking is there a tape of Michelle Obama making racist remarks. Putting aside the fact that in many cases a question like that is tantamount to an indictment but if the origins of such a question is one uncorroborated source then not only is their journalistic "integrity" less than zero but how easy is it to then create news if that's the standard they apply to their sources??

All media is biased.

Think fo yo self.

I'm still searching for the reason behind the recent "tea parties." It's not protesting higher taxes; those making more than $250,000 a year may pay more next year to return to the level before President George W. Bush's tax cuts, but not now. In fact the majority of tax payers already received a tax break under President Obama.
It's not lack of representation, as when the original Boston Tea Party took place. We had an election in November, and Democrats won. It's not government spending, because the Bush administration doubled the national debt, and no tea parties happened last year.
The only reason, then, seems to be a Fox News promotion to give more air time to its anti-government personalities. They should review the election results, then put a little more loyalty in the phrase loyal opposition.
