Had something last night at a friend's dinner party I thought I'd share because it was FUCKING DELICIOUS! New England Nachos. It is sinful. Kettle Chips scattered in a cast iron skillet...topped with baked beans, bacon, cheese in the oven for 15 minutes to heat it all up. then top with sour cream with a sprinkle of green onion! I wish I had a pic. I took one for snapchat but didn't save it

Bacon-wrapped dates. Take a date; slit it down the side; insert almonds, pecans, walnuts, whatever; wrap with bacon; insert toothpick and bake at 425 degrees on a rack over a baking sheetfor 15-20 minutes, flip it over a couple times. Soooooooo freakin' good.



Homemade kimchi. My brother's mother-in-law is Korean. Not a fan of kimchi but I gave it a shot.

A.Johnson, Never had a deep fried turkey. Someday, SOMEDAY I will. F-you on the cornbread. That's baking and I just can't do that. The daters however is a something that I will definitely try. I did the ham this year. Butt that I smathered and lathered in brown sugar. Jabbed a big knife in all over and shoved some more brown sugar in. That fucker is going a long way. Sammiches, ham and eggs for breakfast and dinner ...and the bone ...oh that ham bone. I normally do the split pea soup thing but I think I'll mix it up. Dump that fucker into my industrial size pot with a mix of dries beans and let the bone do the work.

Some arty farty French place here serves them bacon wrapped daters and they plate it with a ramekin of warm maple syrup. I cannot get my head around an attempt to make bacon better than it already is. And cornbread puddin' is super easy if you cheat a little and use Marie Calendar's mix.

Oooo! I'll give you my recipe. Fatty ground beef add nothing. Screaming hot skillet or griddle. Burn that shit on one side till the smoke decenter goes off. Flip over for a minute. Serve on a Martian potatoes roll or that Hawaiian bun. Raw red onion and some kind of horseradish spread. Garlic pickle on the side. Learn how to make a decent slaw. $6.50. They will be banging your doors down to get in. Stay open late. Put up the money and retire while your kids keep the place open.

I had to go to my mother’s house today and take her to her doctor’s appointment. She rewarded me with her homemade award winning all white meat chicken salad. She has some secrets to the recipe but I know she uses red bell pepper, sweet pickle cubes and celery. She boils split bone in chicken breast’s and then adds the deboned chunks of chicken to the salad.
It is the best I have ever eaten.
