Personally i believe you cant label a drummer as the best that ever lived- some drummers are better at different genres of music like for example Kenny Clarke kicks ass with jazz. Dave Grohl is an awesome drummer but hes an extreme all-round musician hes famous for drums, guitar, singing and writing songs. My personal favorites on drums have to be the original greats Gene krupa and Buddy rich. With a little practice i can do pretty much anything Travis Barker can do but Buddy rich isnt human.

1- Buddy Rich
2- Vinnie Colauita
3- Dennis Chambers
4- Steve Gadd
5- Dave Weckl

Everybody else is a cheap imitation
