Here's my interview!
1. Either again (for repeat contestants) or for the first time (new contestants), what made you decide to join this year's Miss FreeOnes contest?
Last year I joined mostly for shits and giggles (sort of). Some people had contacted me about the contest, which I knew nothing about, and at first I thought, "No, I have no chance in hell." But then figured, "What could it hurt? Why not?" And found out that it was pretty fun.
This year, due to some drama issues that occurred in 2012, I didn't think there was any point in registering because of what had happened, that there would be less people voting for me, that some people might consider me to be.... this bitchy little drama queen of the board or something.... but then after a number of members and fans contacted me about it, offering their input as to why it can still be a positive thing to compete, and much deliberation on my part, again I figured, "Why not?" Even if I don't win, it's not like I had to sacrifice my first born ***** for the sake of the contest. There's nothing to lose. And like some other folks have mentioned, even if I don't win anything, there are lots of potential new fans out there!
2. Compared to previous years, this year has seen a greater emphasis on first-time contestants, though not necessarily "newcomers." Of all the first-time contestants this year, who has impressed you the most and why?
Has it? Hmm... I suppose it sort of has been more supportive this year of newcomers, as I've seen a bit of chit chat about it here and there. From the new girls I've seen, Jaana Ruutu has my support. She stands out from the rest for her unique persona, that she doesn't necessarily conform to social norms, she sticks to who she is and doesn't care what other people think. And I think that in part, I like that because that's how I am. Even if I might not have as wide of a fan base or website memberships as a lot of other girls, I've never wanted and never will change who I am, what my limits are, what I'm comfortable with, and what I do just because that's what everyone else is doing and that will make the most money. I pride myself in being real and true to myself, that's become my brand, so I really admire other girls who are similar to that. And it's also really admirable that she's doing so great, interacting with all her fans and participating on this board, in addition to working on her website, while being blind. I can hardly imagine. So props to her.
So anyway, I've been voting for Jaana as Best Newcomer everyday so far!
3. Everybody has hidden or unexpected interests and hobbies. Please tell us all about one (or more) of your hobbies or interests that people wouldn't necessarily expect from you.
There isn't much that other people don't know about me. Like I said, I pride myself in being real, showing my true self, so I've never been one to hide anything about what I do in my life. I'm a total hermit, I like to stay home and watch TV, movies, play Skyrim, read, cook, write, etc.
One interest that I have that a lot of others might not is being interested in the psychology of how ***** affect our personal lives. I used to do a lot psychedelic ***** (haven't touched them in years) and to this day, I still notice some of the effects of LSD from time to time, like after I take a long walk and when I'm extremely tired. I've spent a considerable amount of time researching these things, and thinking about... well, for example, how and why ***** have the abilities to change our lives, the way we think, and how they have the ability to literally change our view.
Another interest people might not expect is politics. For example, this most recent election, I went to Pittsburgh and did volunteer work for the Obama campaign. I don't like to argue with people about my morals and what my political views are, seeing as it very rarely ends up in either party agreeing with the other, but I am very passionate about it.
4. In your opinion, what makes the Miss FreeOnes contest different from other related contests?
Honestly, I don't even know what all contests are out there! It's not something I really pay attention to. So this is a question that, unfortunately, I can't answer. One thing I do imagine is that this contest and other contests on this board (like the millionth post guessing game... was it a million? or higher? I can't remember) has some reaaaallly great prizes. A lot of other contests, from the few that I've seen, don't offer such a variety of prizes or even as high of prizes. I mean, this one has tens of thousands of dollars in prizes, spread out across multiple categories, while other contests might only have a few hundreds or a few thousand. And I think in part it's because this contest has so many more participants, it's very interactive, and it's fun.
5. Even though it's difficult to be critical of your own work, is there a specific video, photo (individual or set), etc. that you feel represents your best work?
Actually, I'm VERY critical of my own work! When I look through my videos and photos, I pay attention to my poses, whether I'm getting better or staying the same, if I have tufts of hair sticking out, if my makeup could be better, etc. Of course I have my personal favorite photos and videos, but everything I do is what I want to be doing and most of the things I've done were my ideas, not the photographer's, not the web master's- mine. For my videos, I like to be real- no overly exaggerated moans, no dirty talk, no faked orgasms (seriously! none of them are faked! I will keep shooting and keep playing with myself until I finally cum, and if I don't cum, instead of faking it, in the description I'll let the viewers know that I didn't cum and why). All of my videos represent that.
6. While we all enjoy the Miss FreeOnes contest, there's always room for improvement. If you could change one aspect of Miss FreeOnes (i.e. voting changes, add a category, etc.), what would it be and why?
I think it's fine the way it is, for the most part. The one thing that I wish could happen is for only members to be allowed to vote. If someone isn't a member and they want to vote, they should be required to sign up. Now I know that the reason this isn't happening is because for FreeOnes, the more people that vote, whether members or not, the more traffic the website has. It makes sense, it absolutely does, but it's a bit unfair to some of the girls on here, including me. Now a number of people will argue that it doesn't make much of a difference because members have higher voting power than non-members, but it really does make a huge difference. There are girls who win due to their wide fan base outside of FreeOnes, on their websites, through webcam, and via social media. So even if they're not as popular on the website as some other girls, their hundreds or thousands of fans outside of FO do make a largely substantial difference. No doubt about it. I mean, I can have 30 FO members who vote for me on a daily basis who have high voting power, but if another girl has 2,000 fans outside of FO who vote for her on a daily or near daily basis, of course she's going to win. So to me, it's a popularity contest, not a FreeOnes website contest, not completely anyway.
None of this is to say that I'm not appreciative of what the FreeOnes team does, why they do what they do, the amount of money, time, work and effort they put into this, because I most certainly do. I'm just being honest in my thoughts.
7. There's no doubt that life would be immeasurably better if we all had theme music play when we entered a room. If you could have any song for your own personal theme song, what song would it be and why?
This is a tough one! I like so many songs it's insane. I'm gonna say... Electric Feel by MGMT. Well no, no.... I take that back. I absolutely love that song, but no... if I had a song that would play every single time I walked into a room, it would be..... hmmm.... Hot Like Sauce by Pretty Lights. It's just such a sexy song to me, so... when I walk into a room, I want sexy!
If you've never heard this song before or don't know Pretty Lights, you gotta listen to it. It's pretty awesome. Here's a link for it:
