Fifty shades of Grey

This onewaould have been very hrd to miss. The books took off like a jet fighter, and the movie wasn't really a question. I found it fascinating that the book was created on an online literature platform, and thus was a safe bet for going onto paperback. Another detail of this success that makes it stand out.

Whereas I will read the books, I won't watch the movie, I think. The look of it is very high-gloss, and the world of Mr. Grey is very posh, yet I think the actor is too young. At first, actor Patrick Dempsey ("Grey's Anatomy") was in talks, and he - or a man his stature and age - would have been ideal, in my opinion.

So, to illustrate this post, here is a long version of the trailer to the movie

Please give me your take on this!

And: Ladies - you hot for this?

It took me a while to get my man card back after a woman talked me into going to see Rent the movie with her. I am not relinquishing it again to see this.

That guy is the villain from "The Fall". TV show on Netflix. I encourage everyone to check it out.

He killed it as Spector. Now I'm considering watching this movie to see him play a different character, I was impressed by his performance in "The Fall" and I wanna see if that was a just a one time thing or can he deliver more good performances. It is unfortunate that it has to be in what is seemingly just a pretentious chick flick, though.

As a female friend of mine says, "if someone likes 50 Shades of Grey, we'll have two options: she never read before or she didn't fuck enough".

This -and other recent TV shows, books and movies- raises a question I'd like to ask to as many girls/women as possible :
Who do you wanna look like : Ana or Katniss ? Bella or Buffy ?

For decades, the entertainment industry created dozens of "damsel in distress" female characters, mostly created by men. In the 90' and the early 2000', we've seen many "amazon-warrior" female character, mostly created by men too. Now, since the mid-2000' the "damsel in distress" are coming back and what's strikes me is that many of these characters are created by women. As if women craved for a man to protect and dominate them...

I'm not going to see this movie. I'll just wait until it comes out on demand. Plus, why waste $13 or $14 on a movie about BDSM when you could watch stuff similar to it for free on the net.

The books were poorly written, I liked the first one but then they got so boring. I thought it was going to focus more on her becoming a sub and living that life style. Instead, he decides to be more "vanilla" because he's so in live w her and she's not sub material. I only finished the series bc I was traveling a ton and needed long easy books to read. The movie is something I def won't see. Especially after hearing I I tear views that the actors actually hate each ion her and fought the whole time on set. When you watch steamy sexy scenes, I know it's acting but it's hot when you pick up on the real chemistry behind the lines.

I'm considering writing a piss take of 50 Shades about a thirty-something average dude with an $18/hr job that jerks off in front of the computer all the time, but gets extremely angry when a book and subsequent movie comes out about a 20-something BDSM billionaire and ends up murdering the guy for great justice. Should I open a kickstarter account?
