You can change back to legacy defending under 'wireless controller settings' if you want.
Is that the same as turning it off?

I did that earlier on but i turned it back on. It doesn't really change much and it certainly doesn't make it any easier. It only changes the tackling system where you don't have to time it. The forward players still find gaps in your defence though. Plus you can't turn on legacy defending online so it is better to try and get used to it. I have always been terrible at defending though, so in fifa 12 i am even worse. The game at least makes up for it in other areas

I always play as either a Goalkeeper, Center ****** Midfielder or Striker, that was on 11 though.

I never play as just the one player. I always control the whole team. When i create a player and go on the career mode as a player, i always select control all players

I'm the opposite. I **** when you play as one player you have to keep looking at the radar to stay onside. I always end up chasing the ball everywhere. Or just stopping and the defenders run up the pitch. When i play as the whole team, the camera moves with me as i dribble. You have to pass more now anyway, since it is more realistic

I bought it on Monday. It's pretty good but the controls takes a little getting use to. So far hardcore FIFA users enjoy Ultimate Team mode.

i dunno man, i sorta got used to the controls pretty quickly, i find the game harder to score but, on FIFA 11 i would win without much difficulty even on the hardest mode, but now i have to work a bit harder for the W.

they need to make stuff more upgradeable, all EA games are based around virtual pro's every single one of them at the moment, i wish they;d go back and repeat some of the other stuff, like earning $$$ and upgrading stuff like the stadium, pitch, youth training etc
