Female pornstars sluts or prostitutes?

Call them whatever you want, it doesn't matter to them.

Penetrator: stupid or rude?

Must I call him stupid or rude? He is posting silly questions just like a stupid person. You think, there is a different between both groups?

Name calling pornstars and bad labelling them is not a solution. Every one has a profession, he/she has chosen for a reason so show some respect for what the person does and stop badmouthing/insulting people. I trust this is clear.
Thanks for your understanding.

Why use a derogatory name? What have I ever done to you? Do I call you a wish-you-had-real-pussy wanker just because you masturbate to vids/pics of porn stars?

Oh Snap! :1orglaugh

well sluts like sleeping around for the sake of sex (and that's just fine :D) and prostitutes will sleep with just about anyone who's willing to pay them...so neither

Dude,

I'm a slut and a prostitute. I also have an executive MBA from Columbia. What difference does it make? Call me what you want. I'll probably get turned on by it.

Why would you call them sluts or prostitues?

Slut is nothing more than a narrowminded, uneducated term. Just because someone likes sex doesn't make them any less of a person and if they want to do it in front of a camera so others can enjoy it, then what is the big deal? I do not understand this attitude about sex, it is no more or less natural than anything else we do. And I say the same thing about prostitutes as well, if its what they WANT to do then I personally don't see a problem with it. As long as they do it and it is safe, and isn't a health hazard, I don't see a problem. George Carlin said it perfectly well "Selling is legal, fucking is legal, so why isn't sell fucking legal?"

And actually, why is this only being directed a female pornstars? WTF is with the double standard? Uhhh, there are male pornstars as well and I dont see them being called any names and they are doing the same fucking thing.

Just my :2 cents: but I have more respect for people in porn than those Wall Street scumbags that are making money off people's misfortune. At least with a pornstar, you know their intentions.

I mentioned Sasha Grey's part in the series Entourage. She made a pretty good point in the the last episode about porn starlets getting paid to fuck guys they don't care about being considered sluts or whatever but the guy she is opposite on the series fucking just as many people she does and not giving a shit about them and that is supposedly not as bad.

I thought she made a pretty good point.:2 cents:

This is a quotation from another similar thread. The words were of my, now deceased, wife who was the real moderator. I try but can never fill her shoes.
------------------------------------------------------------------
Slut
Slut\, n. [OE. slutte; cf. OD. slodde a slut, Icel. sl["o]ttr a heavy, loglike fellow, slota to droop.]

1. An untidy woman; a slattern.

Sluts are good enough to make a sloven's porridge. --Old Proverb.

2. A servant girl; a drudge. [Obs.]

Our little girl Susan is a most admirable slut, and pleases us mightly, doing more service than both the others. --Pepys.

3. A female dog; a bitch.

Webster's Revised Unabridged Dictionary, © 1996, 1998 MICRA, Inc.
----------------------------------------------------------------
whore
(hôr, hōr) Pronunciation Key
n.

1. A prostitute.
2. A person considered sexually promiscuous.
3. A person considered as having compromised principles for personal gain.

intr.v. whored, whor·ing, whores

1. To associate or have sexual relations with prostitutes or a prostitute.
2. To accept payment in exchange for sexual relations.
3. To compromise one's principles for personal gain.

[Middle English hore, from Old English hōre; see kā- in Indo-European roots.]

Word History: Derivatives of Indo-European roots have often acquired starkly contrasting meanings. A prime example is the case of the root *kā-, "to like, desire." From it was derived a stem *kāro-, from which came the prehistoric Common Germanic word *hōraz with the underlying meaning "one who desires" and the effective meaning "adulterer." The feminine of this, *hōrōn-, became hōre in Old English, the ancestor of Modern English whore. In another branch of the Indo-European family, the same stem *kāro- produced the Latin word cārus, "dear." This word has several derivatives borrowed into English, including caress, cherish, and charity, in Christian doctrine the highest form of love and the greatest of the theological virtues. · Another derivative of the root *kā- in Indo-European was *kāmo-, a descendant of which is the Sanskrit word for "love," kāmaḥ, appearing in the name of the most famous treatise on love and lovemaking, the Kamasutra.
------------------------------------------------------------
I draw attention to the meaning of these two words.

If looked closely, may be some or all of us behaved a little 'whorishly' if not slutty one time or other. :D

Will we, (I include myself) please look closely at ourselves and then start talking about it. This subject has been chewed, chewed, chewed, ............................... and then spat out several times on this board.

May I rest my case. -- If we can not respect the models as an individual and enjoy them for their entertainment value, then this board looses all its credibility along with all its members.
Thanks.

Didn't see the episode, but that's such an old and tired argument. Men who fuck tons of woman can be sluts too...if people choose to call them that. I've heard so many women make that same argument, yet those women never refer to a man as a slut. If women started calling men who sleep around "sluts", then they'd be sluts. It's not a double standard...it's the standard that nearly every woman I've ever met adheres to. It's really as simple as that.

I don't understand why some people on this thread seem to be so offended by the question. Yes, porn stars are prostitutes. That's only an insult if you think it's negative to be a prostitute. But the truth is, people like Sasha Grey are most likely not having 8 man blowbangs on their off time. It's a job. They making money fucking and doing as their told. So yes, porn "stars" are prostitutes, be they the female in the role or the man...unless that man is an unpaid participant who's wearing a lucha mask in some disgusting bukkake or gangbang record shoot. And in that case, that man isn't a prostitute, just really fucking creepy.

i would hopefully assume that you have the right to call them whatever you want. But in no case, is anybody really going to give a fuck what you say.

No, Lali, I don't think any one is offended 'with the question', but some are offended because of 'the way it is asked'.

And you have answered the 2nd part yourself. The question should not be gender specific. Thanks and :hatsoff:
