Favourite movie scene

The three-man stand off in the graveyard in 'The Good, The Bad and The Ugly'

The Ennio Morricone music builds such a climax and then the inevitable shots ring out and it's all over..

The torso bursting scene in 'The Thing'...this is a true 'change of underwear' moment, if you've never seen it before.

Good choice - I'd also recommend the climatic stand-off scene from "A Few Dollars More" and the Charles Bronson v Henry Fonda stand-off (and subsequent scene with the harmonica) in "Once Upon A Time In The West".

I remember my first reaction was along the lines of :wtf: when I saw it. Now whenever that scene comes up, I either fast-forward or conveniently "disappear" for several minutes....:D

Titanic - when the credits go up meaning its over thank god:rofl:

No serious
Planes,Trains and Automobiles - When there in the motel room on the first night.Steve Martin kisses John Candy and snuggles up to him. Then John realises what just happened while he's holding Steves hand.

Dialogue -
Steve 'why you holding my hand'
John 'don't know.....where's your other hand'
Steve 'between 2 pillows'
John 'there not pillows'

Both jump out of bed acting macho

Steve 'how about that Bears game last week'
John 'great game,great game'

:rofl2: Brilliant.Just pure class.

:1orglaugh One of my favourite comedies. Steve Martin going mad at the car hire lady is brilliant as well.

The opening few minutes of 'Cube'

Man vs wire slicer... Guess who wins.

The scene in 'Close encounters of the third kind' where he stops at a level crossing.
You see some lights come up behind him, which turns out to be a car..
The next set of lights that come up behind him, he waves on thinking it's another car..then the lights rise upwards.

In Jurassic Park...When Sam Neil and Laura Dern first see the herd Brontosauruses...It is eating leaves off the top of a tree and the music done by the master John Williams comes in and the old man i believe says welcome to jurassic park...The CG looked great for the time...

When Arnie tells the cop "I'll be back" followed by his wiping out of the entire police station.

First time I saw Terminator that was something else.....

Helicopter ****** on the village in Apocalypse Now

When gf tells Forest she's dying in Forest Gump

Sonny's assasination in The Godfather

Car chase in Ronin

Two favorite quotes:

"I am shocked, shocked to find that ******** is going on in this place!" -- Casablanca, when police chief closes down Rick's Cafe where he gambles himself.

Clint Eastwood to undertaker, walking into a gunfight: "Prepare me three coffins"
After the fight is over: "My mistake. Four coffins."
--From "Fistful of Dollars" or "A Few Dollars More", I can't remember.

Probably one most will find stupid, but wtf.
The very last scene of Babe. Where Babe herds the sheep and the people are dead quite, and then those words:
"That'll do pig."

and

From John Carpenter's Vampires. The scene where Jack is pumping the priest for info. Most memorable line:
"I ****** my ****** padre, I got no problem ******* you."

The bank scene and the shootout after it in "heat"

the last 10/15 mins of "last of the mohicans" (great score also)

the part in the return of the king were ganelf is talkin to the little hobbit were he says "death is just another path...one we must all take, the gray rain curtains of this world roll back and all truns to silver glass...then u c it"...kinda silly but its one of the scenes that always remember

any scene from daniel day-lewis as bill the butcher in "gangs of new york"

Good flick - my favourite scene in "Heat" is when Pacino realises that he and his fellow detectives have been rumbled by DeNiro...
