Favourite movie scene

In Star Wars Episode III, when the Emperor is shooting force lightning at Mace Windu and screaming in all his evil bliss "Power....unlimited POWER!!!!!!!"...even though i hated seeing Mace Windu bite the dust it's an awesome scene. in fact, all the scenes with the Emperor after he is disfigured are great, you can tell that the actor who played Palpatine, Ian McDirmid, had a blast finally being able to let loose and be pure evil.

Glory-Aside from the entire movie being as great as it is. One of the most dramatic and memorable scenes, was when Denzel's character was getting lashed for trying to "escape". Maybe it's not something quite happy to post up, but the drama and emotion that was put into the scene was simply amazing.

I agree. My pick however, is

Glory - Charge of Fort Wagner, especially when the Colonel gets shot. All hell just broke loose.

It's good to be the king...
The closing sequence of "Inside Man" when Clive Owen finishes his tale and the pieces fall into place....

I was laughing and shouting :wtf: at the same time - haven't done that since the closing sequence of "Usual Suspects"

"The flower goes in the front, big guy!"

The battle between Ripley and the Queen Alien in Aliens

That's a tough one- I love so many movie scenes. I would have to say it's probably something from a Vincent Price movie. Researching...

One of my top favourites:

Excalibur, 1981

Arthur: Swear faith to me, and you shall have mercy! I need battle lords such as you!
Uryenes: [scornfully] A noble knight swear faith to a squire?
Mador: [shouting] NEVER... NEVER!
Arthur: You are right.
Arthur: [Hands Excalibur to Uyrenes and kneels] I'm not yet a knight. You, Uryenes, will knight me. Then as knight to knight... I can offer you mercy!
Merlin: [Alarmed] What's this? What's this?
Mador: Keep it, Uryenes!
Uryenes: [hesitates and then touches Excalibur to Arthur's shoulder] In the name of God, St Michael and St George, I give you the right to bear arms and the power to meet justice!
Arthur: That duty I will solemnly obey, as knight and king.
Merlin: I never saw this.
Uryenes: Rise... King Arthur.
[Uryenes kneels before Arthur]
Uryenes: I am your humble knight, and I swear allegiance to the courage in your veins. So strong it is, its source must be Uther Pendragon's. I doubt you no more!
[kisses Arthur's hand - other knights also kneel]

The secret ingredient? MY BALLS
In Jurassic Park...When Sam Neil and Laura Dern first see the herd Brontosauruses...It is eating leaves off the top of a tree and the music done by the master John Williams comes in and the old man i believe says welcome to jurassic park...The CG looked great for the time...

My favorite part of Jurassic Park is where Timmy is climbing the electric fence and the power kicks back on while he's still holding on. To this day, EVERY TIME I see it I can't stop laughing.

The Good, The Bad and The Ugly

About 3/4 through the film, Tuco and Blondie enter a bombed-out building looking for Angel Eyes.
They find a corpse with a note on it.
Tuco picks up the note and begins to read: "Better luck next time..id...idi...idio..."
Blondie takes the note from Tuco "Idiot...It's for you", hands it back to Tuco.

Or how about the final scene in the graveyard.

Been to see Metaliica a couple of times where they play that scene on a massive TV along with the music for the opening of the show. Sends shivers down my spine every time!
