One of the things that I enjoy most about the World Cup is hearing the different countries national anthems. It's cool to see the players as the line up while the anthem plays and they sing their heart out with pride. So here are some of my favorite national anthems besides of course the US national anthem.

As much as I love my home USA's anthem, I've got to admit, Canada's anthem is frikkin awesome. If the Star-Spangled Banner is #1, O' Canada 1A... eh.

The US National Anthem of course then the Canadian National Anthem, because when I hear it I know there's some hockey comin up. Also the Soviet Anthem is very powerful and reminds me of the good 'ol days when we had an enemy we could see.

Random factoid, about the national anthem of the Phillipines. If you sing their anthem incorrectly or make it sound bad you can be fined a large sum of money or imprisoned.

Besides the U.S, the Italian national anthem is my favorite so much that I know it by heart and I don't even speak Italian.
