I read on amazon.com that they are about to re-release part 3 in 3D with 3D glasses on dvd. I was too little to see it in the theatre as well. I'll probably have to check the new dvd out.

Yeah, they said its the 2nd biggest movie franchise after James Bond. This new one coming up will make 12 if you count Freddy vs Jason.

Well, it's not like it's mainstream like James Bond. It's more of an underground classic, with a killer that has become one of the most famous and recognizable characters in the popular culture today.

I saw it at Wal Mart just yesterday- no ****.

I saw parts 1-3, and all of them had 3-D covers, but Part 3 included glasses for watching the movie in 3-D as an option.

To be honest, I don't have a fave - Part one sucked less than the others (imo) and I liked the ending at the time.

Now when I hear about Friday the 13th, I'm struck by indifference....:*****:

I liked the living Jason much better than the zombie Jason after it got all supernatural and what not.

The first one, it is one of my personal fav movies, ever. Although, i genuinely like them all to one degree or another.

Expect for Jason takes Manhattan. That one sucked ass. Not even the beautiful Kelly Hu or the hot naked blonde could save that piece of crap.

BTW, pt 3 kicks ass in the new 3D DVD release!

And if I am not mistaken, JTM was the lovely Kelly Hu's first, or second film. And I wholeheartedly agree that not even her noteworthy appearance could salvage the awfulness that is Jason Takes Manhattan.

In the his Name Is Jason, it is mentioned that someone should remake that film. That would be great. Cuase it so missed a chance to make a killer slasher flick by having Jason slaughter people in NYC.

That ending is terrible! I guess he turning into a *** only happened in the heroine's mind, cause that would be the only way to explain such a stupid thing happening!

Well, I've never seen Jason X, so I can't vote for that one, but I liked the others equally, although I can't remember which is which. :hatsoff:
