FAR Cry (movie?)

just tooling around the guide of my cable last night and i came across a movie that i set to DVR a few days from now.
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0400426/
so was this movie made based on the game? is it any good? i played the 1st far Cry and really liked it but it got boring after a while since there was an unlimited amount of enemies in the game everywhere!
the premise of the game/movie seems like it good story.
anyone see it?

Legzman

what the fuck you lookin at?
I've seen it pop up while browsing netflix instant for new movies. But never paid it much attention. Never played the far cry games though either.

Yes, it exists. Uwe Boll directed it.

Let us speak no more of it.

Never heard of the film. Finding out it is by Uwe Boll I can see why.

Actually, Coppala had a lot to do with that movie. Any time the name Coppala is attached to a movie, it will in all honesty be a great, great movie.

Unless it happens to be Chris Coppala.

Yup, couldn't agree more. Another terrible game adaptation.

The only thing going for it is Emmanuelle Vaugier, and not for her acting qualities!!!

well it was on friday or saturday and i watched it. and i have to say it was meh... not terrible not great either. but not having Carver get turned into the creature or get the special abilities was dopey. that is what happened in the game so why not follow that premise in the movie. i actually watched about 1 hour and FF through the final 30+ minutes
i guess you can say it was Bad because i have forgotten about it for 2 days until seeing this thread again. :dunno:

Banned?
Seeing as all video game adaptions are terrible, it's no surprise. It isn't the worst though. I thought the explosions were sick.

Yes I have watched and unfortunately have a copy of it in my library.

Like all Uwe boll directed movies he destroyed one of my favourtie franchises with that movie but i still love the game if I try not to remember the movie at all.

Til Schweiger as Jack Carver is not a great choice either, especially when Jack is supposed to an american not a german with hard to listen to accent.

Not the worst movie I've seen. It had it's moments though. It has very little in common with the PC game of the same name. Although, in saying that, those familiar with the PC game might notice one or three bits from the game in the movie. Jack is on his boat when it is attacked and he crawls ashore in the aftermath of the attack. Boll is actually a half decent movie maker if he stays away from game to movies. His movies RAMPAGE and SEED are decent enough in their own way. Those two movies piss on everything Paul Anderson has made in his entire puny life!.
