Fan kills player during soccer match...

Is that the official term for it? I'm not a fan of soccer, and I don't know what the technical terms are. In football, if you get tackled in your own end zone it's not called "own touchdown," it's called a safety. I figured soccer might have something equivalent. :hatsoff:

No, you put the ball into your own net. Its a goal for the opposing team. What usually follows is a shot of the player looking dissapointed and the goal keeper doing the same, or blaming everyone else.

Somthing like this, and its always as hilarious.

God I hate football!!!! :thefinger

A colombian player was killed for missing a penalty kick a few years back.
Andres Escobar, but he wasn't killed by a fan or fans. It was either a bar fight gone horribly wrong or an alleged betting syndicate (Medellin cartel) killing. Anyhow, the convicted murderer is free again.
