Falling Skies?

There were some interesting developments in ep4, but nothing that hasn't been done before in other shows. Plus I'm probably not alone in my theory about the skitters.
Also why does it have to adhere so rigidly to old fashioned gender roles? For the most part its characters are of the man shoot, woman cook variety. This is 2011!

Episode four was a lot better than the previous episodes, even without Jessy Schram in it.

I just found out about it because my Tivo recorded the pilot as a "suggestion". It would be cool to have a sci-fi drama series to watch since the Stargate franchise and Lost are gone now.

Get on the Fringe wagon. Great show and great acting.

Still beats German television. We're behind a year or two on most shows. The only show I can think of now that was aired here at almost the same time it aired in the US was The Walking Dead. I watch the original versions anyway. The German dubbing is sometimes incredibly bad.

Maybe Spielberg's next TV show he's exec producing will be better? The dinosaur show Terra Nova. Wait a minute, the premise is that life in the future is generally shit so humans time travel back to the age of the dinosaurs. Because living with ferocious prehistoric beasts in a world where its pretty much a certainty that giant asteroids will wipe out most living things is obviously a preferable existence!

Just watched the episode where he catches the skitter. Thought I'd give it another go.

Totally agree. I watched 2 episodes of T Nova and promptly deleted it from the DVR scheduling.

I haven't watched either Falling Skies or Terra Nova. Terra Nova bothered me because we humans wouldn't be able to breathe the air that existed that many years ago. Sorry, I'm a stickler when it comes to things like that but correct me if they explained some way that they are able to breathe it.

Why wouldn't humans be able to breathe? The air would certainly be cleaner and have a higher oxygen content, but that should pose no problem.

However, I do agree with you about getting facts straight. The explanation of finding a fracture in time and going back, but not being able to communicate with 2149 is insane. If this were true, how would they know about the dinosaurs, or even if anyone survived a trip thru the fracture? It doesn't make sense. I would have preferred a better explanation such as them going to an alternate reality where dinosaurs still existed. If they'd done this, they could have actually created different kinds of dinosaurs and explained it thru evolution.

As for Falling Skies, I didn't care for the season finale. Getting on that ship was foolish. I would have emptied my gun into that stupid alien and then tried to use that ship like a Trojan Horse to blow up one of those structures. I'd like for them to feature Seychelle Gabriel more than what they did. Maybe in season 2...
