In Finland the police profession is not very valued.

There are good and bad in all professions. I've worked with *************** and have close ****** that are currently in *************** and there's not a bad apple amongst the many I've known and am related to. The scant few times I've had dealings with the police, pulled over for traffic issues, called to file a report, etc, I've found that the best way to avoid any problem is to act like an adult and conduct yourself accordingly. Simple, really, don't be stupid and you should be alright. Dumb people always have a hard time with that.

Agrees. But what is scary about this video is that this is a retirement party, not a racist gathering. You wouldn't expect all the cops participating to the party to be racist. Still, none of theme seems to be annoyed by the song. They don't even seem to notice how outrageous. They don't seem surprised (positively or negatively) by the song. The song is played, the song is played and they just do what they do, as if it was common to have such songs for musical background.
Actually, I was so, living in France and no being iinterested by thid kind of music I didn't heard about it. But I did over Cut Killer's "Assassin de la Police" ( = "cop assassin").
It reminds me of the phrase, "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing." When supposedly "good" people choose to do nothing when they reasonably can do or say something they become culpable for the evil that happens. People might try to rationalize it away, but that's reality. When said people are part of a privileged group and choose to do nothing in the face of wrongdoing they have even less reason to justify being exasperated when others suddenly hold them in less regard and have less trust for them because of situations like that.
Hey ass-man, off topic but I am curious, how much daylight are you getting in Finland this time of year? About 4 hours or so? I talked to a man that spent the last few months in Sweden and he said that daylight is running from about 10 in the morning til around 2:30 in the afternoon.

I have no problem with people protesting and stating what they believe. So, wear the can't breathe shirts, protest, wear your NYPD caps. God Bless you, all, this is America.
I may think that certain people are assholes for what they are protesting. It is everyone's right to be an asshole. I exercise mine.
So, ex-cops protesting doesn't really bother me. Were they assholes to do that? In my opinion, yes. That is meaningless though.
The bigger issue is what people do in their official capacity. The mayor's comments in speaking out regarding the police ***** was unprofessional. He could still push reform, but doing so while supporting his police *****. ON the other side of the coin, police officers who on on duty and in uniform, should not be protesting, and this includes turning your back on the mayor. *******? No. Unprofessional? Yes.
Al Sharpton? I don't even know what the fuck this guy is. He should pay his taxes...and probably shut the fuck up. The former is law, the latter is my opinion.
