:surprise: Wha...what? Are you serious?i'm actually one that believes aids is not real
if you go to the hospital and have a bad cold, pnuemonia, flu, or something they will diagnose you as that. if you're hiv+ and have a bad cold, you got "aids". go figure that one out.
I think you're completely missing how the virus works. The idea is the virus attacks your immune system so that things like a cold, pneumonia, flu etc have their effects exasperated by virtue of the fact that your immune system can't produce antibodies due to a lack of T-cells (which are typically responsible for killing potential threats in the blood). Thus infected patients may in fact die because of a cold etc... but the root cause is the virus essentially handicapping their immune system.
and tell me how magic johnson and others got rid of their aids and maybe i just might believe its not a huge worldwide scam to keep people from fucking like rabbits
Uh, they didn't. Magic Johnson, and those who can afford it, (with a price-tag of roughly $10,000+ a month) take "drug cocktails" that predominantly function to inhibit the enzyme reverse transcriptase, which is how the virus turns its RNA into DNA in a host cell, thus essentially destroying the cell. In the case of Magic Johnson, he'll always have the virus, he's just taking medicine that prevents it from infecting more cells in his body. He'll always have the virus, and there is no way for him to get rid of it. Essentially what he's doing is delaying the virus from completely destroying his immune system, not stopping the virus entirely. To use an analogy, if we assumed his infection was a simple cold, the medicine he's taking is tantamount to the cough medicine one would take if they had a cold. He's treating the symptoms, not the problem. I think the 20+ years of scientific research on the subject would pretty much confirm this isn't a "worldwide scam".
