Can anyone tell me what's the big deal about Eurovision? I'm sure our European members can say something on this

I watched it last night for the first times in ages, I guess the voting stage is a bit exciting but on the whole the songs were very poor, the event was well hosted by the Germans. ps Just look at the German entry if you want to know why people still tune in

My personal opinion about the Euro Song Festival is short: it's a pile of BS.
Unfortunately tho.

Long version: The Euro Song Festival background was about the songs and music, but for the last years it's been about playing the public/crowd by being sexy/shows - and nobody cares if people can really sing or have excellent music performance skills.

Unfortunately, most of those voters were men, and they didn't ACTUALLY pick up their phones and vote because their hands were too busy at the time. :rubbel:

That performance was more like porn than a lot of the porn I watch.

I'm betting if they were on babestation or something instead of Eurovision then they would have got a lot of guys picking up their phones. The way she was "churning the butter" (and that's not a euphemism, although it could quite easily be as well :rubbel: )

To be honest, we weren't listening to the song. It was drowned out by me saying "look at those tits", my one mate saying "look at those tits" and my other mate wishing his mrs wasn't in the room so that HE could be saying "look at those tits."

It has become a complete joke of a contest where singing ability is no longer important, I for one am glad my country was not in it this year. (the Polish girls were pretty hot I will admit)
