ESPN analyst makes silly statement!

Bomani Jones of ESPN just said that he would rather have Philip River than Eli Manning...am I the only one who believes this is hilarious material?

When doesn't ESPN anal-yst makes stupid or silly statements.... it seems like that is what the network wants.

Old news somewhat. Because didn't the Chargers select Manning and then they traded him to the Giants for Rivers in 2004?

I agree. Yeah I guess it's kind of stupid, Eli has two Super Bowl Rings to Phillp's ... what? .... zero. Plus two Super Bowl MVP awards going to Eli Manning.

Analysts make idiotic statements all the time. Dion Sanders is one of the worst it along with most of the ESPN guys. I dont see why it should be highlighted when someone says something you find to be moronic in your view. You have to remember that ANALYSTS ARE PAID TO GIVE THEIR OPINION, you will agree with some of what they say, you will disagree with other things. People need to stop making a big deal out of others opinions when they disagree with it the view so much.

I know Bomani Jones is not technically an analyst but he does give his opinion on things.

Sorry pal.

Everything this Bomani moron says is stupid!

Honestly, it seems like some people just don't want to accept that Eli's proven that he's an elite QB. Rivers was awful last year against any defense that had a pulse(I'm pretty sure he threw almost or at least 20 INTs). Personally, I see Rivers continuing his downward spiral because his decision-making the past two seasons has been getting progressively worse even with one of the better receiver corps in the league and now he's stuck with a bunch of #2/3 guys and an aging/always injured Gates.

Ummm...people do know that Rivers has been the much better quarterback throughout his career...right? He's been better than Eli in all but one year.

Eli is a high side of mediocre player at his best that has been put into extremely fortunate situations and has been on the luckiest multiple Superbowl winning team (in a short time span) ever. Rivers at his best was just under Peyton, Brady, Rodgers, and Brees.

Unless one thinks that Rivers has totally lost it and will never remotely get his skill back for whatever reason it's not that tough of a decision.

No you're wrong. Eli has Super Bowls. That's all that matters. And the more the better. Big Benand Eli are better than Rivers and Peyton.

[/sarcasm]

If i'm choosing a quarterback to build my franchise around I choose Peyton over anyone but if i'm choosing one quarterback for one Super Bowl...that decision is a little tougher.

I imagine NY's happy having Eli rather than Peyton nevermind Rivers. A couple years ago you wouldn't have said that about most there, imo, but now they are. For now at least anyway. :D

To quote the best analyst on ESPN, Stephen A. Smith....

"How can you be so disrespectful?"
