I get the reason behind Emily releasing the home videos ( so to speak ) but you have to look at the reasons why, after her saying on twitter she was retiring, her website traffic dropped... huge,you can look up the stats and see for yourself, they don't lie )and while it has picked up to an extent since she announced these so called videos at clips4sale, this is strictly about keeping income coming in and getting joins at her site.
So while the claim of retiring is not really so, I think she really is just scaling back and still doing porn in a sense, it's just more for her own site then say a 3rd party's like Twistys and what not.
When your income streams start dwindling you have to do something to keep your income coming in even a a lesser scale, and that is exactly what this is about... nothing more and nothing less.
From what I have seen so far of these amateur or homemade videos, it's not really noteworthy so far, I have no plans to purchase or join her site at the time, maybe the quality will be better down the road. One has to realize that this is an effort on her part, but after the big hub-ub about complaining on twitter about wanting to shoot what ever she wanted and to stop asking when she was going to do HC ( which was not long ago ) I think it more or less just made most fans shrug and go "whatever" plenty of other girls out there.

She has gone from having a contract which guaranteed a certain income stream, to having no contract that income stream now gone and having to get shoots etc lined up to get income rolling again, to retiring an being in school ( her words for 5 months she said ) and putting out there you are retiring from adult and once again seeing bookings trickle down or not coming your way ( or a reduced amount ) Well you have to get the cash from somewhere, so her site and clips4sale would be it.
This smacks more of desperation IMO, but I guess time will tell as to whether the sales add up...if she does well good for her, then she has achieved her goal and should make people happy, but only time will tell
