by the time I find all those goddamned stones, moneys not going to be an issue anyways... I've got like 15/24 and have like 178,000 dollars (septims for the super nerds). And I already have all the houses completely furnished with the exception of Windhelm. Can't buy it yet because I sided with the Imperials cause they're not a bunch of racist bigots...

Yeah, practicality hasn't stopped me before though :angels: Been working on getting all the dragon priest masks even though the final reward one is no real use to a sneaker. Just the one left that you have to finish almost the entire main quest to get. Only up to Alduin's Wall with that character.
Probably got over 1000 gems now in about 10 days, the game freezes at about a 500 dropped gem pile. Wonder if patch 1.4 will make any difference.
I have avoided buying the Windhelm house because the quest that goes with upgrading it is supposed to be one the buggiest in the game.

The Butcher quest? I've heard about ppl having trouble with it, but nothing went wrong for me. I just can't buy the house until I sack Windhelm, or so I'm told. I think it might have to do with what point in the main quest you do "The Butcher" quest.
I got this game for Christmas for the XBOX 360 and still have yet to start it. Too much DC Universe Online.

im on 360 and I've never even had it freeze. the only glitch/bug I can report is that the Markarth guards try to get in my face any time they see me well after the Cidnha Mine quest. They say I'm under arrest, and then they just walk away.
I have that same issue but they actually begin to ****** me. I stop so they give me the choice the go to jail or pay the fine but one of the times I did **** quite a number of them when fighting back so they give me the option but they do nothing but fight me after i choose. I can't even do some quests because of it. It's pretty frustrating
I heard something along the lines of going back into the temple of Talos and fucking up those guards and then paying the fine fixes it, but I never remember to try it. lol Don't quote me on that, BTW
I'm starting to regret buying this game. Other than the exploration factor, there's not much that this game really does well. The incidental voiceovers are kind of cool but the lore is not very good in this game, the main quest is so boring that I haven't bothered completing it and the combat is stupid. The crafting is weak and the quests/character interaction are lame. There are a lot of times where the npc make no acknowledgement or change what they say after you have completed a major quest for them or any kind of accomplishment. Dragon Age was a better game overall.
So in another words, it pretty much sounds like a slightly tuned up version of Oblivion then.
Not really. Given that Oblivion is 4 years older than Skyrim, I would have to say that Skyrim is a detuned version of Oblivion. The main quest is just silly and unoriginal and the game mechanics are poor. I think the game is a little dated. Perhaps that's the downside to such a long development time.
Me too, got so many things on my plate I know I won't be able to devote enough time to it and fully immerse myself into the game, I'm lucky if I get an hour free every few days to play my xbox, possibly February
Just finished the main quest the other day at my 86th hour of playing. Im still going though, curious to know how a few side quests turn out and still wana explore a few places I found interesting. At least I can say I finished this version of Elder Scrolls wheras Oblivion I was 300+ hrs and never finished the main quest.
You must be predisposed to not liking this game. The Exploration is virtually endless. The Quests are buckets of awesome. The Skills/Leveling are fresh and enjoyable. The Scenery is flat-out amazing. It's miles better than Oblivion, which was awesome as ****. I played the Dragon Age 2 demo and thought I was playing N64 for about 10 minutes and then deleted it and never once considered buying it.
Dragon Age 2 is weak and not even close to the quality of the first one. If I were to rank the games I'd put Dragon Age Origins over Skyrim by a little bit as I found the story and characters a lot better in DAO. In fact, I think Bethesda has this problem in many of their games when it comes to characters and that is none of them are very memorable.
I said the exploration was it's strongest suit by far. Miles better than Oblivion? No way. Oblivion is a much older game and didn't benefit from as many technological advances. The quests in this game are actually pretty bad and repetitive. The dragons are underwhelming and the AI is not very good. The main quest is a snore.
Dragon Age II which you are referring to is almost universally panned as a rush job that Bioware put together while developing SWTOR. Dragon Age Origins however, has gotten very good reviews. I was referring to Dragon Age Origins, the first game. The quests are better and the story line is better too.
Oblivion is a better game than Skyrim and it looks like a lot more people are starting to notice.
*The scenery is not as great as advertised either. I could find some nice spots in World of Warcraft too, which is not known for it's graphics to say the least.
