Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

PlasmaTwa2

The Second-Hottest Man in my Mother's Basement
Finally rented this game. Time to see why everyone loves it, I guess.

L3ggy

Special Operations FOX-HOUND
At least you rented it. I regret my purchase.

I've never been a huge fan of the Elder Scrolls so I would have never bought this anyway. I bought Morrowind and it sucked, so this is only a rental...

Shifty

O.G.
Do the daedric quests. I did that after main quest cause I felt like you are.

Did 'em all. :(

I know, I know. I could focus on things like crafting and improving items, etc.

But why, so I can stare at my character? I've killed everything in the game, so what's the point?

I threw this game in for the 1st time in about two months. Made a new character because I figured with all the patches, things like freezing might be resolved.

Nope. Level 1 and it froze 4 times before getting to Riverwood. I should just throw this game in the trash.

Hasn't frozen for me yet, although the battery in my PS3 controller blew a gasket so the controller doesn't work anymore.

Is it just with that game ? Assuming your starting from scratch have you tried to delete everythng possible of Skyrim, then clear the cache before you try again.

Although im not 100% sure it works for PS3 or it is possible since I dont own one but one solution widely suggested for that type of problem or most on 360 is to clear the cache. At this point Id say you have nothing to loose by trying it.

Discovered a nice little glitch on the PS3 version since the last update. Everytime I kneel in some shallow water, the game freezes up. awesome. (It's done it twice but I did it twice in a row to test it and it did it both times)

Those of you who are bored: Start a new character and focus on different skills/alternate questlines. Probably won't do much for the casual fans, but If you've leveled up a ton and did pretty much everything and still wanna keep playing, start over. As for the freezing... what console are you guys using? I'm on the 360 and it's frozen maybe twice in well over 100 hours of play time.

Official trailer for Dawnguard DLC -- On Xbox 360(1600cr) 1 month before other platforms. 1600 little high for my taste but we'll see when its released before I bite.

The trailer looks good but it's going to be hard to tear me away from Dragon's Dogma, that game is the shit!

Seen a video of that game, is it similar to Skyrim ?? Any coop locally ??
Skyrim DLC has no release date yet but rumours are mid-late summer, so probably have lots of time.

The best comparison is Skyrim with Dark Souls. The battle system in it though is incredibly addictive. It's single player but with a hint of multiplayer. Basically how it works is that you create your character and you also create an assistant character called a Pawn. You can share your pawn with others and you can borrow others' created pawns. You train your pawn to better assist you and the people that choose to recruit them in their game. You can then review the pawns you borrow and your pawn can be reviewed by others. It's a great innovation and the AI that controls these pawns is really something to see for yourself. It almost feels like you're playing online with others but you aren't.
