Penn's article was interesting except for the interview section. As someone who has followed the drug war in Mexico very closely I found the interview to be weak. Penn could've asked better questions. Such as:

1. What really happened at Guadalajara Airport in 1993?

2. How did you escape from Puente Grande in 2001? Did you really escape by hiding in a laundry cart? or did you simply walk out the front door?

3. Is it true that you had an agreement with the Mexican government by which you would provide information on other drug cartels and kingpins in exchange for immunity?

4. Do you have contacts inside the Mexican government? If so how far up do they go? How do they help you move your products?
