Okay, I read the rules and didn't find anything about this to be inappropriate but if it is, then a mod can kindly close the thread (and could the rest of you guys PM me the info I need, please?)
Now, the point is I'm about to go on a trip and got myself a brand new notebook PC, of course, it does not have a DVD drive. I wonder, is there anyway I could convert some of my DVD's into .mpeg or .avi or .wma (preferably) so I can then transfer them to the notebook's hard drive and at least happen to have "Delta *****", "Alive", "Snakes on a Plane", and "Die Hard 2" if for some reason the in flight movie is some **** like "The Notebook" or "when harry met sally"? Maybe a DVD ripper that's easy to use that you guys may recommend. I have absolutely no idea about any of this kind of issues. I mean, like music, so as not to carry around all our CD collection what do we do? We get an ipod and just copy the CD's to it, so why couldn't we do the same thing with our DVD's to a portable computer? Any help is appreciated!
