DVD Ripping or Playback

Hey guys,

Was in the process of ripping my porn collection on DVD when I noticed that the files I got didn't have that "video" look. For example, I ripped "The Amy Reid Story" using Mac the Ripper and when I compared the DVD from my Xbox to the rip played through VLC on a Mac connected to the same TV, the DVD version has that video look, but the rip lost that quality. Does anyone know what the deal is? I really enjoy that look and probably won't rip my collection if I can't get the look I'm going for.

Oh yeah, I also burnt the VOB files to a DVD and it looks like video... So it must be the player? Not the rip?

sometimes converting files and ripping them can reduce picture quality. check the settings of whatever you're using. they often compress files for you. players have little to do with actual output quality if any.

Format Factory is a progamme I use and would recommend to anyone looking to convert just about anything into anything. And it costs fuck all all you do is download the mofo and your away. Just Google the name and you should have no probs in finding it. Now if anyone is a chick you can offer me a blowjob for the info on that great converter that is the be all end all of file converters.
