antisemitic is the word and some people are certainly just that as evidenced by the article also when did the jews fool you? as to the article anyone attacking anyone is an issue which should be dealt with regardless of the reason

Bear in mind this article is from Haaretz which is an Israeli based newspaper so I question how much indepth knowledge they have on Dutch domestic affairs, a 'story' like this will shift plenty of copies of the newspaper back in Israel as well as increase the number of visitors to the website. There are always going to be racist attacks on certain ethnic/religious groups by a few idiotic individuals, unless it becomes an overblown epidemic it's best not to draw attention to it and let the LOCAL police deal with the crimes in question. :2 cents:

I would agree with this article. The Police should have one reason that is good to work undercover all the time or bait criminals and that's for hate crimes. I don't see it as a breach against human rights at all or the constitution in America. Even though it's not America.

Why do people still hate on the Jews.

Well Europe is still a hotbed of anti semitism. More so in East Europe but still alive and well in the West unfortunately.

The left siding with Palestinians against Israel fuels this anti semitism only it's been renamed "Anti Zionism" for public consumption.

I never understood why the hate. I think it stems from mistrust, from fiction such as the fictional account "Protocols of the Elders of Zion", from word of mouth, etc.

I'm deeply saddened that many Westerners openly side with islamic terrorists against Israel under the banner "Anti Zionism".

My own paternal grandmother was arrested for trying to give Greek Jews, being transported to concentration camps, water at the trainstation in Vinkovci Croatia where she lived during WWII.
The Ustashe arrested her and almost shot her that day had they not discovered that she was an American citizen. She spent a year in prison instead.
She wasn't Jewish, yet she cared enough to help them.
Her feelings and willingness to give help have definately been instilled in me, and that's why I'm pro-Israel.

Eh, don't sweat it.

I'm sure one of our resident "historians" will be along to explain why, to a great extent, the Jews (including my kinfolk - German citizens who were murdered at Auschwitz) have brought all of this upon themselves.
