Hey look we are above 1000 posts. Yay.

I have several things waiting to ship to me right now. I even got a bunch of old RPG video games for cheap. It's been a while since I seen Planescape ******* and am looking forward to going though it again. (I might also get some of the old Fallout games as I have lost them.) Unfortunately, work will have me going on near 60 hour weeks for the next couple of weeks so I don't even know how much I will be able to enjoy them.

im playing dragon warrior 4 right now on nes. its one of the best rpgs ive ever played. what a hidden gem.

I got the pack that has Baulders Gate I and II, Icewind Dale, with their expansions, and *******. I can't even remember if they are even played under 2nd or 3rd edition rules anymore since some of them came out around when D&D switched over about 13 years ago.

I'm not sure. I would love to get a lot of games at GOG, but even the old games are practically impossible for me to download considering the type of internet connection I have so I rarely visit the site. If anything they are larger in size than before. If I had to guess I think it might be from what they do to the games to make them work in more recent operating systems. There is probably a good chance the old Fallout games are there though.

I once owned both those games. Then I loaned them out a long time ago and don't know where they are now. :(

The first Fallout and ******* might have some of the best plots for a video game even today. Plus who can't get enough of seeing all the Vault Boy illustrations for all the perks and conditions he might find himself in? :1orglaugh

oh... i had a meetup at my house saturday.

not a big turn out, but it was fun anyway.


got to play munchkin again. thats my second time, i think we did it right... met a nice couple. played some NES too. they also brought over this resident evil deck building game. it was pretty interesting. i actually won because everyone else died. an unusual way to win apparently.. that normally doesnt happen they said.

i run my monthly/bi weekly game next saturday. continuing my 4e game im dming. its turning out great so far.

So Friday was spent in Koln at Gamecom. This is supposed to be the largest "international" video gaming convention with something like 49 countries participating. I'm not really sure what the fuck I was thinking...but in usual german fashion the germans managed to dub EVERYTHING into german. Videos, presentations, demonstrations, folders, flyers, etc was ALL FUCKING GERMAN.

Not very international.

Aside from the german, the only other really annoying thing is there was a wait of 40 minutes or more (we saw 4 and 6 hours on some games) to play a fucking video game for only 10-20 minutes. On top of that, most game booths had the demos inside the booth so you couldn't look from over someone's shoulder (there were some who had their games in open air so you could watch). So yea, didn't get to see the new Assasian's Creed, Call of Duty, etc because that was behind closed doors and I'll be damned if I'm waiting up to 6 hours (that was assasians creed) to play for maybe 20 minutes.

But, here's a few photos. I have more, but my SD card reader in the tower here at work apparently has stopped working and I don't have my usb SD card reader with me.

I'm actually surprised they didn't have a Hasslehof dummy sitting in it...

Germans, they are some weird people. ;) (I also see they must like littering from that one picture, and here I thought only Americans were bad with that.:1orglaugh)

I'm not into case mods, but I have a feeling that one steampunkish one might have caught your eye.

I've got my usb SD card reader in my bag today. I'll post some more pictures. The server case was pretty amazing....a volcano complete with smoke.

so now this will be my third set. i know i know, thats nothing. but there might be one last set i kinda want. which means im not done.
