Drew Peterson indicted in 3rd wife's death

Uh, what took so long?? Because he was a cop?? 3 or 4 of this guys wives come up deaded and they finally start to think something might be a little wrong with that picture?? I guess it was too much of a leap to figure that a cop could stage a murder to look like an accident..2 or maybe 3 times..sheesh.

He has the right to be presumed innocent until proven guilty but this guy sounds a helluva lot like the shit you might find under a rock in the middle of a swamp.

Drew Peterson indicted in 3rd wife's death

By KAREN HAWKINS, Associated Press Writer – Thu May 7, 11:44 pm ET
LOCKPORT, Ill. – Drew Peterson, the brash, mustachioed former police sergeant who found tabloid fame after his fourth wife's disappearance more than 1 1/2 years ago, was indicted Thursday in the drowning of an ex-wife found dead in an empty bathtub in 2004.

Peterson, charged with first-degree murder in the death of Kathleen Savio, was arrested during an evening traffic stop near his Bolingbrook home and was being held on $20 million bond, Illinois State Police Captain Carl Dobrich said.

He's guilty all right, but the fact that he's a cop (which may let him off the hooks in the previous wife's deaths) and that he's obviously good at getting rid of the evidence it's taken the investigators this long to finally indict him for the death of his wife. I watch a lot of Forenic Files (none of that CSI crap) so I know that they must have something substantial to charge him with, but circumstantial evidence will have to be used as well since he's got his son to use as his eyewitness and alibi. I am hoping the persecutors don't screw this one up.

It's about time. It seems like the cops looked the other way while he was abusing that wife. There was a bunch of domestic calls to his residence during their marriage.

The guy was clearly guilty, it's a good thing that he's arrested now. Bad thing it took this long to arrest him.

I'm confused as to how women keep falling for this guy given his track record?

Exactly, especially when they are usually 30 years apart. How the hell did he managed to get 20something year olds to marry him and in spite of the mysteries surrounding his past wives?

if they took so long cuz they wanted to have his ass dead to rights i understand why it took so long...otherwise i don't know

Yes because he can only be tried for the crime once. If they felt they never had enough evidence to convince a jury it would be a bad move to go to trial.

i think drew's innocent. barack obama is the real killer

No surprise-from the moment he became some gross kind of train wreck(thanks Geraldo), Drew Peterson seemed guilty of murder.

Wow, they finally got something solid on him.
It will be interesting to see the outcome of the trial.

Is he rich.........??

Believe it or not he was getting 72k a year as a RETIRED cop. Plus apparently a lot of insurance money, i think , from the thrid wife's death. Not only is he dating girls in their 20's (his 4th wife, missing, was actually underage when he got her) , but he isn't exactly George Clooney in looks.

Why hasn't this officer been sent to the chair by now?

I guess I answered my own question, he's an officer. ;)
