From what I heard this is all a big April Fools Joke being put out by Game Informer Magazine in their April issue. They say it'll come out by the end of April. I'll believe it when I see it.

No, I wasn't pissed about that. What I was pissed about was back when the SP was a hot item and we all went out and bought them thinking "cool, a backlit screen!" then they come out with the same build SP advertising "an even brighter backlight!" --THAT pissed me off. At least the DS lite has a different build and nicer casing than the old DS.
The fact is that the new xbox will be out in April in the US and it is called "Elite". It will have the following:
-Black sprayed case
-HDMI socket (version 1.2, PS3 has 1.3 althought it is of little use right now)
-120 GB hard drive
and wait for it.....thats about it. So its the same crap sprayed black with a 120gig hard drive and HDMI and they decide to call this "Elite" and charge £100 more for it.
The new 65nm processors that are cooler and will produce less heat, thus less fan noise will be included in all xbox models probably 4 quarter of this year.
It is important to note that the "new" xbox has IDENTICAL motherboard etc, with only the HDMI socket being added, it is not being redesigned.
in the UK, we will be paying £300 for a console that does not include HD-DVD and wifi and still has the same 90nm processor, thus producing heat problems.

I like microsoft and I own a 360 , but this move by them is a poorly planned decision in my view .
