I think people who use the word "liberal" as an insult should be dragged out into the street and shot execution style.:violent:

Indeed. They apparently don't know that Bush has killed the Republican Brand Name, and conservative is now a pejorative term.

nope...too liberal...I cannot see him lead the military
You mean JFK wasn't a "liberal"?

There is nothing "conservative" about Republicans, just as there is nothing "liberal" about Democrats. They are both big-government, statist parties. To them, the government comes first - not you.

Labels mean nothing - Democrats 50 years ago supported segregation and Republicans 60 years ago opposed foreign intervention.

The Pubs want to run your private life. The Crats want to run you economic life. Both of 'em have bizarre definitions of "morality" - from 'obscenity' to 'hate speech'. While claiming to respect the Constitution and the Bill of Rights, both of 'em want to trample over and shred it to pieces all the same. Nobody in the District of Criminals even cares about the 9th and 10th Amendments.

For a "classic liberal" like myself (who were also the original conservatives), it doesn't matter who wins this election - be it the lunatic McCain or the opportunist Obama. In the end, the State wins and the People lose.

That's beautiful Roughneck, no ego laiden diatribe like alot of the posts just straight to the point honesty. i just wish it would let me rep you

So when is Obama planning on having a chat with Gen. Petraus? Oh I guess he doesn't need any of the General's viewpoints because the Iraq war is BAD and we need an unconditional withdrawal :p
That's as close-minded as you can get.

You seem to have problems with other people's opinion of a single word. To indict execution for someone saying that word is sadistic. Are you saying that people should look at "liberal" as being as bad as the "N" word? I hope not 'cos that is pathetic. Call me a conservative red-neck warmonger and see if I care. Be proud and be a Liberal but if you're going to let that word anger you, then politics ain't for you. You make me laugh. I never met a left-winger who's offended by being labelled by his own beliefs.

fomm iwas waiting for your reply on this thread i thought you might have more insight(lol) but i think youre on the right track w/ the sarcastic answer. money is not going to help us out of this mess. its going to take a strong will and a lot of political manuvering (yes, money helps in this matter but not as much as we may think). as stated earlier look back to 1980 and that is what it going to take staight forward dont take sh-- from nobody.

Do you know that, today, 65% of the American People want the Occupation in Iraq to end? It would be smart politically and morally, frankly, for President Obama to withdraw all troops from the Middle East immediately. President Bush's approval rating is 23% now..clearly, the War Economy foundation of his presidency is not very popular with the People.

Why are we in still in Iraq today? It doesn't make much sense. We verified that Iraq has no WMD to harm us and the World...we toppled Saddam...we gave Iraq to her people....MISSION ACCOMPLISHED:thumbsup: We did not declare war against "Insurgents" and al-Qaeda was never in Iraq until we removed Saddam. They'll most likely get kicked out of Iraq after we leave by Sadr or someone else.

We're not needed or wanted over there and if we actually pull out troops...we'll make the Saudis shit bricks and maybe...all of a sudden...Oil will start to *magically* come down in price...

Obama's people will be telling him to obtain a politically savvy V.P., but just not one that will either 1) Outshine him, or 2) Be a better choice for president. I'm saying, no Johnson-esque Democrats.

But, even without a politically-savvy V.P., the President still has how many cabinet heads with who they can consult? Politically, Obama'll be good. I'm just cynical enough to wonder, though, 1) Will a black president live long enough to serve a full term and 2) Can he formulate politically achievable legislation?

The comment about executing someone for using the word "liberal" as an insult was an obvious joke. Pointing out how stupid it is to insult someone by labeling them with an arbitrary term for whatever political belief system you assume they identify with. I guess your intolerance of anyone who isn't a conservative assbag like yourself caused you to become angered by that statement. So you decided to call me a "liberal f**k".(once again using the word "liberal" in your personal attack)

BTW, I didn't call you anything. Certainly not a "conservative red-neck warmonger".(though I doubt that description is far off) So keep your personal attacks to yourself. :thefinger

America's past presidents have done much to erode the honor and respectability of "the West". I doubt one man has what it takes to mend those wounds. But sure, he'll be able to keep house well enough. ;)

No absolutely not. One who has not seen critical situations, nor has been into war, can't be a good strategist and therefore can't be a good president.
Obama was a priest and a preacher, knowing how good these people are at geostrategy, I wouldn't bet my money on him for assuring the safety of the USA.

Guess we know now why Bush has been so bad ,never been in a war.Although I don't think that is really a requirement to be a good president. Many never saw war but served well.
And I don't know where you get Obama was a priest or a preacher in his life?:dunno:

And what's the fun of leaving you alone?
I like seeing you all riled up and insulted. And for the record, I'm Moderate (with a slight twinge of left and right). I'm just sick of you extreme left/right wingers.
