Has anybody ever engaged him in a deep thought, lengthy conversation ? :D

Really - What happened to that guy ? He used to be featured on PBS on Saturday evenings around the dinner hour about ten years ago . . .

I'm certain that all ye Britons are sick and tired of him, no ?

What was your favourite episode there mate ?

Who was that 'ol granny lady again . . . ? . . Mrs Wicket ?

Is / Was there ever a cartoon "take - off" from the regular program / programme ?

Thanks ! ~

Rowan Atkinson? He has done a bit here and there. A Mr. Bean movie this year as a matter of fact. I'm hoping for another Blackadder season myself, but outlook is not so good.

Is somewhere outhere.
I preferred Atkinson in Black Adder, but Mr Bean's ok for kids i guess.I preferred Benny Hill's silent moments to Bean's :)

*In walks a Brit*

Rowan Atkinson stated that he got fed up with Mr Bean.

To be honest I think Mr Bean was one of his poorer characters Rowan ever created. As he only created him to do a special half hour show originally.

The joke wore thin to quick, for me.

Rowan also did say that he only returned to do another film because the kids wanted it.

Rowan himself could be said to be the perfect comedian. As he has that rubbery face, that's in his words "is not pretty" and behind it a real genius for comedy.

To me Not The Nine O'Clock News is still his best work. Not only because of how fresh it was at the time. But because he got to show off all his range of talents. But all the Blackadder's was also pure genius that will always stand the test of time.

Oh and to answer the question of the thread, no.

Thanks for that Cpt Darling...;)

Be glad he quit while ahead, while it was still fresh and moved onto other projects A US TV version would have at least 12 seasons of it ad nauseum, with "special appearances", by actors not working at that moment.

Rowan is a genius, Mr Bean could be annoying, if it had carried on for very long. But there isn't really that many episodes.

The movies ruined the whole character, and should never have been made (although the kids do love it).

Atkinson showcased the Mr. Bean character for the 1989 Montreal comedy festival. He then did a number of TV series with it for ITV. The funniest episode is when he's trying to get a reception on his TV by moving the indoor aerial around the flat :)

There was a cartoon series of Mr. Bean which was aimed at children. The movies aren't very funny.

The best project Atkinson was invloved with is of course 'Blackadder'. Who can forget the final episode when they 'go over the top'?
