I think those people standing on the corner were migrant workers, not prostitutes.

Time is money. We all pay for it one way or another. Either you put in the time to chat up a girl and get her in bed (and you may still have to shell out money indirectly ei: drinks, dinner, etc); or you take a shortcut and go with a prostitute.
It's been a while since I actually used a prostitute. But the best thing about prostitutes is that there are no strings attached, no unnessecary drama to deal with, and no bullshit headgames to put up with.

I used one about 5 years ago when I was visiting Lake Tahoe. Went to the Moonlight Bunny Ranch. Had a choice of about a dozen girls and picked one that resembled Kaylynn. Negotiated a price (300 bucks for 20 minutes; blowjob and screw) finished in about 15 minutes then she gave me a back massage then a hug and she thanked me. A rather pleasant experience. Yeah it's not cheap but it's in the safest environment that you'll ever get. Also it was at the Bunny Ranch. That is probably the most famous of the Nevada brothels so there's a premium if you go there. A friend of mine went to the Cherry Patch about 15 years ago, it's 2 hours north of Las Vegas, and got the same action I did for 80 bucks for a half hour.
