I haven't been out at an Icecream Van in years. I used to go all the time and spend fuck loads of cash on sweets and stuff. But now I just buy my sweets and soda etc from Iceland (the frozen food store) or the local Pound store (something like the dollar stores in the US) they sell all the sweets (good brands and unknown brands) at reasonable prices. Like in Iceland you get a pack of Cadbury's Fudge (six pack) for £1. Buying that from an Icecream Van would be something like close to £1.80 (give or take a few pence). FUCK THAT!. And that's only one of the many items I buy. Most of the stuff you can buy from an Icecream Van can be gotten cheaper from both the stores mentioned above. TAKE THAT, MR ICECREAM MAN!.

For anyone who hasn't played "Grand Theft Auto: Vice City" -- a little bit of a spoiler here that's relevant to the discussion at hand.
One of the game's "Odd jobs" involves getting an ice cream truck/drug cart and driving around with the music playing to lure out "customers" to buy the special "powdery" ice cream. Just keep an eye out for the cops. If your "Wanted" gauge starts to flash, drive off!
Bonus: There are twin, fake ice cream scoops on top of the truck that are obviously supposed to represent a pair of humongous tits.

I drove one for 2 summers circa 81,82, It is had to make decent money at it but it's not a high
stress gig which I liked. My favorite Stop in the van (truck) was the Local Softball Stadium every
evening 6--10 pm.
I drove 3 other self made routes durring the day. 3-4 hrs and routating the routes 1-2-3 repeat.
I wasn't paying any rent at the time so I cleared enough to keep me in beer,cigs, and "walking around money"
Getting the product from the wholesaler was a Bitch though. Company was in another town 50 miles away.
Top speed on these things was about 47 mph. and It was an interstate route. Hair raising ride.
Learned quickly to get a double load and and Make the trip every 2 weeks.
But.. I digress..I Still stop the truck if he gives me time. But Like Squallumz sez. Slow down Mother fucker.
