Re: Do you pay for porn?

I have a feeling there´s an enourmous amount of hypocrisy going on among models/webmasters. I bet 90% of those that complain that people are sharing their content illegaly are downloading music and mainstream movies illegaly.

Re: Do you pay for porn?

I've went both ways on this, but I don't pay for any latey.

Re: Do you pay for porn?

just curious how you get your fix. is porn worth paying for these days or is it too easy to get all you want for free?

if you get it for free, does the quality of free porn satisfy you?

Fair questions which deserves a fair answers.

Generally no. For several reasons. (I assume you are mostly asking about internet sites.)
1. I will not put my charge card info over the web.
2. Up until a couple of weeks ago, my computer/connection was too slow for a pay site to be at all worthwhile.
3. I'm an old fart in the Annette Haven/Rachel Ashley age group and I prefer the stars closer to my age. Less Tattoos, less implants, less dye jobs, but more hair, oh well ;) Technical quality is MUCH BETTER now but not content IMO. If I made a list of my top 20, probably 16-17 are retired and half never had a web site to join.
4. I prefer plotted stories, which seem to be few and far between. Humor too seems to be gone.
5. I kind of like the treasure hunt part of the search for clips.

I do buy mags and some DVDs (heavy on story or the rare stylized artsy Hidden Obsessions, Les Femmes Erotique, Zazel.) Don't care for the silly semi-plotted stuff of NA, Brazzers, etc.

I agree 100% BUT most in the online porn industry don't really have a side revenue stream like most Musicians and moviestars. We can't do big concerts (woudl be fun though), don't have little pornstar Gi joes and don't have companies like Nike or Coca Cola sponsor us ;)

It's too bad really....think of all the slogans....hell, Nike already has one.....Just Do It! Oh that was terrible......:o

i'm into the industry
i should admit that many paysites and models are out of business, especially during the past 2 years. the industry is very controversial itself. on the one hand we have paysites with false promises on tours not delivered into members area, shady sales techniques, etc. on the other hand are warez sites with stolen content, which they have no right to distribute or display (though they monetize it by ads of webcams, datings, pharma, etc). that's done on the huge scale. and there's a small strip of hardworking people which deliver the stuff and make a legit business from it. that's what drives this industry and makes you happy with new hot xxx

so at the end of the days people should pay for porn if they want to get it fresh and tasty. you love to see what your favorite online girl is doing? you like her nice, well dressed (i mean nice tiny lingerie :D) and smiley? so you realize she needs to eat well, spend some money on clothes and pay for apartments or studio, photo equipment. it's also expensive to keep the site online. she should pay for design, hosting (that's expensive), her webmaster which updates the site and many other things. many paysite owned by people who actually shoot content just can't pay the bill to keep it online and they don't shoot anymore. so it's up to you guys.

I have paid for porn on the net before... but not that often. Not even sure which site. I've paid for cable pay per view in the last few years. and also bought a few bbw mags in the last few months. and a few dvds of the net in the last decade.

but mostly I NEVER pay for porn. Although... I have to admit, I've REALLY contemplated paying for Plumperpass recently. The content seems of such high quality what with good photography and such... and that particular kind of "thick" woman I'm looking for.

I'd pay for my niche market WAY before I'd pay for any of the big net company's like Brazzers where thin, tan, blonde chicks come a dime a dozen.

I'd be willing to pay for 'em a lil on the thick side! for sure!

Re: Do you pay for porn?

I have paid for porn in the past and am considering doing so again. Mostly solo sites, but I have paid for some of the bigger ones too. I did webcams for a bit a few years ago. But there is so much quality free stuff that it can seem a bit pointless.

I like the idea of a porn live tour. The really big names performing live at stadiums and arenas around the world, while up and coming acts doing smaller gigs for the indie crowd.

I have joined sites before Wifey and Queenylove. I would if I want to follow a certian pornstar such as Chica, just my wife is not to keen on my credit card info being out there on the web. So I mainly use tube sites for what I want, but I typically just search for a certian girl and go from there.

It depends on the available payment options & the content.

If I can pay with my EU debitcard, I will or if that's not possible, but I only want one or 2 sets from the site, I'll pay by phone (if applicable outside of the US). Since I haven't had a creditcard since 2005 & since I don't want another credit card, this payment method isn't an option for me.

I won't join solo sites, unless that site belongs to Anita Pearl, Lea Tyron or a few other girls (I've joined Sweetsophiemoone.com in the past, but she's retired & that means there won't be any new content). If I join, it's usually for no more than 1 month & I cancel my subscription as soon as I have all the picture sets (& the few movies/clips, usually no more than 1 or 2) I want.

I hope this is enough information for you.

Nope, but I wouldn't mind renting or buying DVD's or magazines. When I pay for porn, I pay cash, no credit card receipts to be used as evidence (same for hookers :D)

i buy a membership from time to time they give u access to a warehouse full of porn for like $30 a month im not rich but sometimes i get sick of seeing minute clips and having to go looking for the good stuff...so the answer is sometimes

Re: Do you pay for porn?

Yeah, I've bought subscriptions. In addition to Chica's, I've had subscriptions to probably 4 or 5 sites this year. I've also purchased clips from a well known site that isn't allowed to be named here. But the clips I've purchased there were sold by the performers/owners, so I'm not sure why the name isn't allowed here. Chica, for instance, has a store there. I've probably bought several dozen clips this year from various stores/studios there.

I join specialty/fetish sites because I want to see the full scenes... not a bunch of chopped up segments. And I join solo or amaterur sites when I like the girl's style and believe that she has a lot of interesting content. I'm also much more likely to join the site of a girl who I've come to see as being very cool and who seems to have a fun way about her. Not to leave anybody out, but I'd put Chica, Love Gisele and the most recent addition, Kimora Klein on that list. A pal referred me to Chica. But Gisele and Kimora I found here. And because she's such a sweetheart, the next site I join will probably be Kimora's.

IMO, especially with solo/amateur sites, joining every now & again is a way to show support to someone who is providing content that you like. And while I'll download free clips too, I wouldnt steal their content. Why would I want to contribute to driving them out of business if I like what they do?

But in all seriousness. After reading the few replies, you guys kind of make me wish I didn't love doing what I do. The good men that pay for movies put my food on the table...

People are cheap, and they cut costs where though ought not to. This is why people will continue to pirate the music of the bands they love. This is why companies like Wal-Mart remain successful by selling second-rate products. Etc. etc.

I do buy porn. My first purchase was a membership to Sandra Shine's website, and it really opened my eyes. I couldn't believe the level of quality that I had been missing. Since then, I've purchased memberships to a multitude of sites, bought VOD, and purchased a veritable bookshelf of DVDs.

You just can't beat it - and the cost isn't that bad. Furthermore, you get the "feelgood" sensation of doing the right thing and supporting your favorite pornstars and local adult stores. Alright - ending my hippie rant.

Don't feel bad Kimora - keep doing what your doing, we love you for it, and some of us will always support it.

90% is a pretty high number. Where did it come from? Thin air, I'm guessing. ;)

Even if 90% of porn content owners actually do steal content from artists in other industries, that still doesn't make it right. And IMO, throwing out a number like that is just a rationalization for ripping off the models. "Hey, she probably does it to somebody else... so what's the harm in me doing it to her?! Serves her right!" :nono:

On this note: I checked out famed photographer Ron Harris' blog, and he has an article addressing the subject of lost revenues. He feels it has less to do with "free porn" and more to do with low-quality...

Taken from blog.ronharris.com

The Decline of Fake Porn

The adult industry thinks the 40% (or more) decline in porn revenue is due to the plethora of free porn on the web. ABC News even did a story saying this is the reason for the decline in porn profits.

Nothing could be further from the truth. This time when the recession hit, instead of porn holding its own, it declined because the viewers decided that free fake porn is the same as the paid for fake porn.

Recessions cause consumers to re-evaluate how they spend their money. They still spend money, but since money is scarce they want value for their money. The recession caused the viewers to re-think the intrinsic value of fake porn.

The porn industry has always had only one answer for declining sales: “Make it more hard-core and disgusting!” Fake porn. Low end quality, low end talent. The audience knows it, as well as the companies that make it. It is time for the porn industry to
come to terms with fake porn that has no redeeming value.

Most porn companies have started of shoot only “Gonzo porn”, (ie: amateur looking porn shot the way anyone with a camera can do.) The problem is anyone with a camera IS shooting “gonzo porn” and it is everywhere. So what is the difference? None!

Within the next two years, only porn sites that have a high-end specialty will survive. I own the young, adorable and all natural “Sex Is Beautiful” girl site genre, www.ronharris.com. I have not felt any significant loss in members or retention, while most of the industry is down over 40%. I know what works and I do not resort to disgusting, fake porn to remain on top.
