I remember going through this exact type of argument about Roswell back in the 90's with a dude on a forum. He was positive there was a massive government conspiracy to cover-up the expanding alien presence on earth. He'd list all sorts of quotes and websites and books he swore were solid evidence that proved his point and nothing you said would convince him he was wrong. All the people who debunked his sources were either close-minded or part of the cover-up.
