Some dude has taken hostages in the Discovery Channel HQ using a handgun and explosive device strapped to his body. His demands are fucking crazy, calling for the stopping and reversal of the human population growth. amongst other things.

Actually several people in the USA died from the record heat this summer as well as what happened in Russia with the deaths from the smoke of the fires from their heat wave.2010 will go down as the hottest year ever.The truth is inconvienent.

Oh and while this guy may have been a bit off his stand on population was correct.Overpopulation by humans is damaging the enviorment in profound ways and at the heart of all the symptoms we see as a result like climate change etc.

How can you hold the discovery channel people hostage to stop people breeding?
You want negative population growth, massively heighten a countries standard of living. Admittedly, there's a population boom at first, but you have to think long-term. Otherwise you end up with the results of people like Blair and Bush.
