Anyone else a fan of the Discovery Channel's show, Dirty Jobs? Starring host, Mike Rowe.

I've followed the show since they started, and I must say that Discovery delivers, yet again. IMO It's a great show, with some great, dirty clips. It's also very educational, as it brings about many interesting, and unique jobs that the everyday person does not see, or wish to know about.

Anyone else have any general interest in the show? If so, any favorite episodes? Or episodes that hit a little too close to your own working enviroment?:1orglaugh

One of my favs was the the tire recycling plant. Especially that rigged engine they used to crush tire rims.:hammer:

I've watched the show too. I like Mike Rowe as a host, you can see he really want's to learn and ask questions so the audience can get a lot out of each episode. Favorite/scariest episode was the company in New Your City that had to clean out this lady's basement that was COVERED in all the neighborhood **** because the pipes backed up into her house.

I'd have to move, no joke.

I've seen it a couple of times. He does a great job as the host and doesn't back down from anything. He's got a better stomach than I do to handle some of that stuff.

I tried watching but Mike Rowe's constant complaining makes me want to slap him.

We know it stinks Mike but do me a favor and Shut The Hell Up!

Sorry. :(

I like the show. Mainly because of Mike Rowe. He brings the best out in that show and has a real good sense of humour. He makes the show more enjoyable to watch.

so now that i woke this from the dead

I was watching the show where mike at the rice mill, he spills what they said was $3000 of rice. who pays for that?

I love Dirty Jobs.

As far I understand it, the Discovery Channel pays for any "mishaps" that are Mike's (or the crew's) fault.

It's one of the favorite shows in my house (the TV is set to discovery most of the time) along with Mythbusters, How It's Made, Really Big Things, and Miami Ink.

I don't know, I think one of my favorites was when he was with the holy rolling extermination company. Or perhaps when he was in the mining and almost got them caved in. hehe

My favourite was the show where he tried to catch an ostrich by putting a blindfold made out of a sock over it´s head, absolutely hilarious.

I can't wait for the episode where Mike works as the guy who has the mop up the cum on a porn set.
