Did I Get Scammed?

At MyFreePaysite.com, I tried their ad for Kara's 11th Anniversary free membership for life. I figured that MyFreePaystite.com was free for me, why not go with their referral. Unfortunately, stupid me, I gave credit card info.........yes, I know, very stupid, and now I was charged $40.08 for this. Furthermore, it says I need to update to a premium membership for everything on the site. So, did I get ripped off (and was I stupid to do it......seems so). And also, will this be a monthly thing? I can live with a one time mistake.

I'm usually very good with these things, but for some reason I wasn't thinking straight. Stupid Stupid Stupid on my part, I know. I THOUGHT it was free......didn't want to pay any money.

Anyways, do you think this is a monthly membership thing? Is there someone/anyone I can contact to cancel if it is?

dude don't feel bad I got scammed as well over another website... It sucks but I learned a lesson, just make sure it isn't a reoccuring fee and you get hit again next month. I got screwed over a 100 bucks doing something dumb. Bottom line don't give out the credit card number!!!! I learned the hard way!

I go to myfreepaysite a lot and wanted that free access they're offering (still is) but when I got to the part where it ask for my cc for age verification....I said: fuck that.

Myfreepaysite is a trusted site....it's the partner site that's out to get us porn lovers, lesson learn and I hope everything works out.

I would suggest calling your credit card company and asking what they can do. At the very least, they should be able to block further charges. And if you explain that the website you went to falsely represented themselves, they might even consider it a case of fraud and cancel the charge that's already on there. No guarantees, but it can't hurt.

Yep, you got scammed by an unscrupulous website. I would challenge this item with your credit card company and I would ask them if any additional charges are charged to you.

From a porn worker's perspective:

Chargebacks are the bane of the industry. If we get too many chargebacks (when you call your credit card company and tell them that those charges were unauthorized, which in this case, they were) we lose our license to run credit cards. As you know, online business with adult would be impossible w/o credit cards. If you want to not only get your money back, but ruin an unscrupulous company, ask for a charge back and cancel all further re-bills.

Bad porn companies count on the fact that you won't do this b/c you'll be embarrassed to say you paid for porn but porn is a multi billion dollar industry that takes up 12% of ALL google searches. Porn and Ebay are tied for use of credit cards on the web. Trust me, your credit card company has seen this before. Plus, even if you were like, banking with "Puritain web bank" or something who hadn't ever seen porn transactions, you'll never meet the person who you spoke to about the charges. No shame dude.

Im sorry I had to laugh, you got scammed and if it doesnt happen to me then I laugh and I laugh hard, never give out your credit card details because their obviously going to charge you for something or take money out without your knowledge. Never give out your details unless you expect to pay for something.
