Oh, what a shame. Rock legend for sure. He's inspired so many awesome artists.

Never liked him.

Funny to see conservatives honoring the memory of a drug addict...

In a bell tower, watching you through cross hairs.
I had no idea he was sick either. Another legend passes. R.I.P.

We will all be free once.
RIP legend, the world is worse off without him. Sad day.

Yeah, I feel the same way.
I think I'm gonna dance on his music today anyway.

Ashes to ashes, funk to funky.

His great songs are his main legacy.
And they will survive, no doubt.

R.I.P.

Post Scriptum: he was only a drug addict for a rather short period of his life (cocaine).
But he fought himself out of it.

He had a fantastic body of work, and i enjoy most of it. I actually always think of Labyrinth and the song Magic Dance first when I hear his name, I was a kid when that came out, and it was the first time I had heard David Bowie.

A tremendous loss. A rock icon of immense proportions and a talent beyond measure. I too had no idea he head been ill. I am very very sad today.:crying:

Don't you dare dishonor his memory by posting such garbage! :nono: If you didn't like him, fine. Show a bit of class and stay out of the goddamned thread then.

Torn & Frayed.
I haven't posted, or said my usual smartass comment anywhere today.

Because David Bowie.

Safe home, Starman.

Thanks for everything. Every last bit.

RIP man.

I didn't follow him either but can appreciate obvious talent.

introduced to that ^ great song through Metal Gear Solid V

Heroes will always be my favorite from him ... I think. It's just hard to top "Moss Garden" in this ambient head of mine.

I wonder if there's panic in Detroit......

I remember cruising down the highway in college with these songs blasting away on the tape deck in my '64 Malibu (with my rear-mounted Jensen coaxials maxed out). Seems like only a couple of years ago!! Really bummed out today so all I can do is celebrate his music:

Anyone who doesn't like this can kiss my ass.
