That was a good clip about Honda though (Failure: The Secret to Success). I've never owned one, but I used to be a big Honda fan. Remember back when Honda was known as the company that powered Senna and Prost to World Driving Championships? Remember that one year when Senna and Prost won 15 of 16 Formula One races in their Honda powered McLarens ('88, I think)? Remember the Zanardi Edition Acura NSX? That was a sweet tribute to a popular AND talented champion. Did you know that Ayrton Senna actually helped to tune that car in, sort of like Schumacher and the Ferrari Enzo? Ah, the good old days. Back when racers were known more for what they accomplished on the track, rather than what they wore (or didn't wear) off the track.

They still make some really good cars, but Honda's hardcore performance image is all but gone now. That's too bad. But... they've always got The Danica. :nanner: :rofl:

That's very true. Although Earnhardt does have some championships in lower divisions and a Daytona 500 win, he certainly hasn't done much lately. And let's be honest, he's popular mainly because he shares a name with his late, great father. So unless he picks up the pace, he might be on his way to being a popular, high earning "has been". While Danica is a popular, high earning "never was". There are some girls coming up through the ranks now who have already won several races. I think they have what it takes to be actual contenders for victories. If Sarah Fisher or Katherine Legge had been coddled and had their cars set up for them, the way that Danica has, I really think they'd be doing well in American Open Wheel Racing right now - better than Danica (especially Katherine, who has won multiple races). But neither of them were all that cute and neither was willing to put it out there.

I can see how guys think Danica is cute - physically, she is rather cute. If not for her personality and ego when I saw her in Atlantics and Barber-Dodge years ago, I'd probably think of her as cute too... instead of a swollen headed little asshole.

HAMPTON, Ga. -- Danica Patrick will "all but certainly" be in NASCAR in 2010, but won't give up Indy car racing and will limit next year's activity to the Nationwide Series and Trucks, according to a source very close to the situation.

Tony Stewart is the "star candidate" to be her partner and mentor in NASCAR, the source said, adding that Patrick's recent visits to Stewart-Haas Racing were much more than social -- that she and Stewart were discussing a deal, and are close to one.

"I can pretty much guarantee at some point she's going to be over here," Stewart told reporters Saturday at Atlanta Motor Speedway, meaning NASCAR in general and hinting at something the source confirmed and clarified.

when i was in finance, she was one of the faces for argent mortgage- this was about 5 years ago so even then winning races didnt have much to do with it...
