Sitcom? One of the first? Yeah sure it was, right there with "I Love Lucy" and "The Honeymooners".
"Dallas" was not a sitcom, it was a night-time soap opera from the '80s.

I'll stick to the classic "Dallas" from the time before I was born, thanks. If I wanted to see a bunch of young adults flaunting their *********, money, and drama, I'd turn on Jersey Shore.

Scratch that. I did record it on one of my tv's. I thought it was pretty good. I watched the original one so I got the whole relationship angles. Now they need to bring back Knots Landing.

I caught it on Tivo and finally watched both opening episodes. Pretty good, I thought. They managed to capture the feel of the original series pretty well. It's not Shakespeare or even Downton Abbey... but neither was the original. I got a kick out of the original series for several years, so I liked this one OK. I dropped away from the original series before it ended, so i never knew how it wound up. But one thing I wondered was, what happened to the other *******, Gary Ewing? Lucy was his ********, right? I saw that Charlene Tilton showed up playing that part again. Just to see how people age, that was interesting. And they're apparently trying to get Victoria Principal to do some future episodes. Linda Gray still looks OK. So I wonder how Victoria looks these days?
Finally got the chance to see it, thanks to my tivo. I thought it was pretty good and I like how they didn't just make a straight up redo, but chose to make it the next generation.
