D-Day +72

Just heard this on the radio...

The actor who played Scotty in the original "Star Trek" TV series - Canadian James Doohan - was shot by friendly fire on D-Day after landing at Juno Beach. He took six rounds from a Bren *** - four in his legs, one in his chest and one through his right middle finger (which had to be amputated). The bullet to his chest was stopped by a silver cigarette case. The landing at Juno was his first exposure to combat.

Remembering those brave men who risked everything so that Europe could become free of **** tyranny. Never, ever forget!

And lets not forget, thank a veteran....or buy him a shot and a ****.

I'm sure that many American soldiers thought that why they are ****** to fight thousands of miles away from their homeland.

The fact that they were there was a good thing for Europe but the bad thing to them.

A Thank You is written in the sands of Omaha beach next to the Colleville American military cemetery, in Colleville sur Mer, western France, Sunday June 5, 2016, on the eve of the 72nd anniversary of the D-Day landing. D-Day marked the start of a Europe invasion, as many thousands of Allied troops began landing on the beaches of Normandy in northern France in 1944 at the start of a major offensive against the **** German ******, an offensive which cost the lives of many thousands.
