I was born in 78 and vaguely remember the hubub about it. I remember my mom forbidding me from playing Dungeons and Dragons with my cousins because it was part of the Satanic Ritual Abuse.


Her forbidding worked out very well...I waited until 91 and started playing a game about vampires instead. :1orglaugh Incidently the game was blamed for a serial killing...

Interestingly enough, back in the 90s there was a satanic ritual abuse story in my hometown (it was like, 3,000 people here). A day care was suspected of molesting children and doing satanic things with them, and the children backed up the claims, but it was later found out it was due to the police officer intimidating the kids into agreeing.
