Trump on Tuesday openly Premium Link Upgrade about using U.S. military might to retake the Panama Canal and to claim Greenland, while threatening to use economic pressure to force 40 million Canadians into seeing their country demoted to an American state. He also called for changing the name of The Gulf of Mexico to The Gulf of America, and, just for good measure, casually suggested NATO member states set aside 5% of their economies for defense spending, a sharp jump from the current 2% non-binding guideline.

What's scary is that you don't know if he's joking or serious. I can totally see him sending ****** to Panama and at least trying to rename the Gulf.

At least two refused the pardons. There are a few who actively attacked police officers and received pardons. Can you imagine the uproar if Biden had pardoned some BLM protesters who did the same?

If? I would put the over-under at 100 by Jan 20 2029 - and take the over. At least a couple have been re-arrested already for other pending charges unrelated to Jan 6. When your strategy is "Fuck it: release them all" what could go wrong?

One humorous part of this is watching Republican politicians squirm like they had no idea what happened on January 6. They keep claiming to want to 'look forward,' yet they are establishing committees to look backwards at the Jan 6 committee. The people pardoned will keep January 6 in plain sight for the foreseeable future.

My first thought was: Since it occurred in rural Indiana, the LEO was likely a Trump supporter. Then I remembered that Pence was governor of Indiana prior to becoming VP. It is Pence's revenge on MAGA. They got pardons for wanting to hang Mike Pence. It makes sense to me now.

Conversely: People of this persuasion, emboldened by Trump's victory, are testing the emotional maturity of men with guns and getting shot.

'Emboldened' is right. We are going to be seeing this way too frequently over the next year.
