I was thinking today that alcoholics anonymous, obviously has anonymous in the title! but the first thing that you do there, is introduce yourself to everybody!??

Now, surely that's false advertising!

I thought there might be some contradictions floating around that might be looking for a thread!

Why is it that a 14-15 year old can be "tried as an adult" - but it's too young to ever legally consent to sexual behavior?

In other words, how come you never read a news report such as "The 32-year old woman teacher was facing charges of having a sexual relationship with a 15-year old former student. However, after an evaluation by court appointed officials, he has been found to be an adult."

I've been saying that for years!

Not really a contadiction, but what is meant when some one says something like, "This is heavy as hell."
Whenever I hear that, I say, "Really? Well, I've never weighed hell."

...or, "That tastes like ****."
Again, I've never tasetd ****, so....
