Coffee Refills At Restaurants

Depends on the frequency the pot comes around. One establishment I frequent usually has four waitresses on duty, and they are constantly carrying the coffee pot around the dining room. I don't want topped off every five minutes. I drink it black so keeping the balance between a little coffee in my sugar and cream isn't an issue. Pay by the cup in Europe. Everywhere is Starbucks over there, innit? No ice in soft drinks, either I would imagine. Weirdos.
what if the waitress squeezes some breast milk in your coffee

Two shady fuckers right above me. As for some crazy-ass waitress tittying up my coffee, that's an ad hoc situation, bro.

may be they do something in the back room with the coffee pots if you complain too much

a friend stopped at 7 11 for a coffee and there were no tops- so he went to the register to pay and asked for one so he could take it with him in the car- a sign said no top at the register.- no sign at the coffee pouring place the logical place for one so he walked out and left the coffee

he told him he needed the sign at the coffee dispensing place, so you know b 4 hand

Pay by the cup at restaurants in Europe? What kind of business practice is that! The profit margin on beverages is enormous. How much is coffee per lb. over there?

I have topped off a few burgers and put them out for service- especially the complainers and others who should live in another city south of mine

In a bell tower, watching you through cross hairs.
I've topped off a few waitresses, now that you mention it.

But I never leave a tip...................................

Why, when I can give 'em the whole thing!?!?

When I lived in Austin I would often eat breakfast at the Abbey Road on the south side. I really liked their coffee and got frequent refills. I remember the waitress saying, "All these people sippin' on their cups when you be drankin'." Great migas and pancakes in that place too.

On your recent sabbatical back to Austin, did you perchance happen to visit your old stompin' grounds?
