Coach Dean E. Smith has passed away

I have always dreaded this day. RIP coach Smith. As a UNC alum this is a sad day for Tar Heels and basketball.

I just saw this. I was never really a Tar Heel fan but had a great deal of respect for Dean as a coach & a man.

I, too, was not a fan of the UNC Chapel Hill school but always had a lot of respect for Coach Smith. May his family find comfort in this difficult time. We truly lost a legend. Rest in peace, Coach.
