Cloudless Britain seen from above

This virtually cloudless image of Britain was taken by NASA's Terra satellite on Monday 26 March - as Britain continued to enjoy record temperatures for the time of year.

It has been amazing weather this week, apparently it was hotter here than in some places in the mediterranean. It's a rare sight to see a cloudless Britain, and at this time of the year as well

Sadly, once you get people's personal enjoyment aside, the unusually dry and sunny weather in some parts are messing with all sorts of plant growth cycles like trees and such that simply aren't doing their usual thing. Got some relatives near the Welsh border who told me they haven't seen significant rain in months, and a significant portion of trees are dying off as a result.

But then again, the insects are having a field day. One way or the other, some life finds a way!

Having never been there, I am curious as to how long it would take to drive from point A, near the coast, and following the coast as best as possible, all the way back to point A, again?

I ask because, when I was in Hawaii a couple of us drove around the island and it really didn't take too long. Just curious about your country.
