Is it Real—Or Memory Lapse (?!)

Has anyone else heard about this? I just became aware of it from having read this in a magazine that I caught my receptionist looking at when she should have been doing other things. Shirley I can't be the only one to know about this imminent sensation that will soon possess an unrelenting stranglehold on our collective disposible incomes! Possibly I see too much and already I know too much!

(?!)

Mystery... mystery...

Is Spielberg slated to direct the film? Does he even know anything about???

Will Stacy Keach reprise his role as the leading male actor? He didn't in the origional. Alright then, how about Ernest Borgnine?

Has John Williams been commissioned to score the film? Has he finally figured out the difference between a wild pitch and a passed ball? With the eventual release of the film on DVD, how will the "letter-box" format effect his interpretation of the strike-zone?

Will audiences see an uncredited cameo appearance made by Melinda Dillon? Maybe Matt Dillon, instead? Marshal Dillon? Dylan Thomas? Bob* Dylan? Dill-n-garlic Stackers? Did anyone say "Matt Millen?"

Who is Bob Balaban? Does anyone think they can do better this time?

Has Eddie Murphy been offered a supporting role in the film, as had been rumored? Has Eddie Murray? He's the one more in need of a job these days!

When production begins, will the location shots become besieged by environmentalist groups and women's-rights activists? They beseige everything else.

Has Jerry Van Dyke been signed to star in the forthcoming T.V. series based on this film? One look at his first T.V. series should may not necessarily give you the answer.

Has filming already begun, and of all places, in the Motor City its own glorious self? Is that the reason that all commercial flights have been restricted over Grosse Ile? Has anyone priced out a summer cottage there lately? Anyone notice that all the bowling alleys in Highland Park have been shut-down? What about the plethora of strange activies Jim Leyland has been taking part of as of late, such as getting his team in first place? Has RoboCop been retained to deal with any insurgents ("Creeps," we call 'em in these parts) that may wander in on the production? Was that Spielberg himself that I saw the other day barreling through the Detroit-Windsor Tunnel in a brand-new 6000 SUX? What was he doing there? What was I? ..... (?!)

Fast-food tie-ins??? Will we uncessantly be bombarded with images and collectable merchandise from the bloody thing every time we stop in for a burger and a soda? :eyeso: Would it matter if we ordered a salad instead?

Will there be a reprise of the unforgetable "shower" scene in this rendition? Are we talking about the same movie?

Has Ebert and Roper enough thumbs to go around for this one?

Will the ultimate legacy of the film be that forever it shall be known as the Greatest Cinematic Re-Post of all-time?

DrMotorcity...you should make a special post for members who have read Giles Goat-Boy, for instance, and got the jokes.
Then pm those 3 or 4 members when flylicker you are gonna post and where, so they can enjoy your funny posts.
Most of the previous posts were by people who still don't get your skill at wordsmithing and subtle (NOT!) humor.
I at least got the idea....
FUNNY!

Can someone provide diagrams or drawings for this...I've lost the plot.:dunno:

Ummm...ok, but my name isn't Shirley.

Maybe this thread wasn't for your perusal. Actually, I really didn't think anyone would peruse it.

Close this thread? Close this thread? (?!)

To paraphrase the great John Paul Jones (and emphatically no, not the guy who was in Led Zeppelin):

"I have not yet begun to hi-jack this thread!!!"

Also, and by the way, we here in Mo-Town abhor the term "scumbags;"

"Creeps," we like to refer to them as.

I made a simple drawing for it:

If you need details, PM someone (not me).

:hatsoff: Jackson

Looks like one of AFA's old sigs. Just my opinion.

Sorry, but that's looks more like the script for Revenge of the Sith.

Not too familiar with them. Any relation to the hair-metal band Twithed Sithter?

VH-1 wants to know!!!

DrM Sir,

Most of your questions are far beyond my poor ability to answer - although for what it's worth I can report that when I popped into "The Booby Trap" on Eight Mile Road last night I witnessed Jim Leyland, Eddie Murray, Steven Spielberg and Eminem engaged in a communal lap dance ----> make of that what you will!
